The Official Melo M11 Thread.

need new ball kicks.

are these recommended for a point guard? i need to be able to make quick cuts/change of direction
like @iks mod  said, you probably want to try them before deciding. i would imaging if you are quick on your feet you would probably want something like the kobe 9 or kobe X.

what is your current shoe that you are comfortable with?

thanks for the opinions. honestly (dont laugh) but ive been ballin with way of wade 2s but the traction is horrible even after wiping numerous times. literally slipping multiple times on the court. my best ball kicks that im most confortable with besides that is my penny flight ones lol. idk for some reason i feel really quick with those on dropped 20 last league game with them on. i tried on the melo m11 yesterday and WOW the comfort and support is unbelievable. it fit snug but i prefer my foot not moving around when i play ball. didnt cop yet though im waiting for lower prices hopefully it drops.

question - does it break in more? although it was comfortable it felt a bit stiff

Man, Penny Flight Ones are a solid on court option.  Loved hooping in those.

I think you will dig the Melos and traction will be more reliable than the WoWs.  Not the best traction out, but I think the grip is def a little above average on these melos.  They do break in, but it may take a little bit.  If you're used to the break in with the WoWs, I think these would take about the same amount of time.  Haven't played in the wades but I'm guessing this based on the materials.

I just chatted with NDC and the Christmas colorway they show no inventory anywhere in their system. Strange...

played in these today for a rec league game where our team got destroyed by a dude that was 6'6" playing in a D4 league. didn't care about the game much since it was such a farce that the league allowed him to play in our division. I'm the biggest dude on our team and i'm only 6' and 205.

the shoe tho was amazing! the floor was fairly clean and the traction was great just like the XX9. cushion wise, you can feel the forefoot zoom, but i think the xx9 has a better response. The heel has more cushion than the xx9 and felt softer once i started running around. The upper however wasn't as flexible as the xx9, but it was still comfortable although a little narrow if you got a wide foot. i was able to get used to it pretty quick and no hot point at any time. The lock down did felt a little weird tho. The insoles are thick ortholite, so they're pretty comfortable. The heel to toe transition was not as smooth as the xx9, but definitely a lot better than the xx8.

personally, i would rank these higher than the xx8, but less than the xx9. at the price point of what you can find these for, these are the best shoe out of JB this year for sure.
Thanks for the review. Also hate when they put bigger/better guys in a league where they don't belong!, LOL

More color ways on the way. Does anyone care? Just saw the article that Melo sold about $30M in shoes last year. Can't imagine he'll move that much product this year since he's not playing.

WARNING!!!!

My 2nd pair of these had the sole tear again!!! hooped in them 3 times.

Trash Glue.

2 pairs 2 returns. Won't be a 3td.

Or I'm just that quick lol.

That sucks. I had a quality problem with my pair and they will go back soon. I am not going to get another pair. I think the shoes are good performers and nice alternate to the XX9 if you want to save some money. The M10s and XX8s are just better performers and easier to find for under $100, so I'm going back to those for now.

I don't know about the M10s & XX8s. Both of those, depending on the colorway are about at the end of the warranty if they haven't expired already. I had a pair of Super.fly 2s on ice until I noticed the date on the tag and I wore them everyday and everywhere and I just sent them in for a voucher two weeks ago and I got mine yesterday. I have the Raptor M10s and I'm gonna wear them out too. I think unless you get the DTRTs or the Westbrook PEs, those may not be wise purchases. I almost pulled the trigger on the Joker XX8s myself but I think the warranty's done on those too.

same. i would think twice about buying the m10 or xx8 right now. i sold two of my three xx8s and only kept the cement.

BUT if you have a nike outlet near you, they usually let you get a giftcard if you speak to the manager nicely. i had a pair of 2012 lite i wore for about 9 month maybe once a week for indoor use. the inner bootie on one shoe had a bad stitching that would blister the top of my toe if i play for too long. called up nike customer service to see if i can return it they just gave me a case # and told me to go to local outlet to return it.

I got a pair of the 2012 lite & a pair of the 2012 Fly Over for a crazy 2 for one sale awhile back. I haven't wore them yet but that's good to know about the bootie especially since that was the main draw with that particular Jordan. The Raptor M10s warranty will last until November and I'm going to wear them starting this weekend. The rest are basically up now warranty wise but I'm so tempted to get the xx8s but the xx8 se is a smarter purchase since it's warranty will expire later this year for most colorways, especially the ASG release and the ones that dropped after it.

Been watching these for deep discount but a lot of people have been complaining about the shoe breaking apart after a month. Which is surprising i thought these were well put together when I saw them at hoh

Been wearing this shoes for indoor court for at least 30 hours and no issue for that, the only thing I can say is the outsole is too soft for anyone wearing for outdoor.

are nt members the only ones with m11s? Is nt the only place to read information or see reviews about m11s? Maybe theres countless other sources than the ONE thread in nt I could of read that hmmm idk

I still love these shoe but the back sole on both shoes is starting to seperate from the shoe in the same spot on both soles.

Finishline has a early access sale going on right now so you can pick up some of these for 60 shipped if anyone is interested.

Thanks. Just to update:
The same color is on the sales promo rack at FNL if you find them in person. I just grabbed a pair for $35 after the 30% and a WC.

I saw the M11 Christmas on December and really liked the colorway. But then I'm balling with my Lebron 9 and Lebron 10 Elite. For months M11 Christmas is on our Nike outlet nearby, so I thought if my size will still be available the moment I have an extra money I will pick it up.

On the Weartesters article on Aug 28 - M11/XX9/Curry One/Zoom Soldier 9 are ranked on the 2015 TOP Solid Performer on the Basketball Shoes. But for me I think Ill go to the M11 CHristmas because of the Materials used (pure leather) and the Color Combination of Cardinals. Commemorates the Cardinal 7's

When I went to the Nike Outlet saw the single size 10US M11 Christmas, bought it and ball it right away.

Words to ponder on this M11 Christmas is CUSHION and COMFORT at its Best!

Gonna ball on this for a month and hoping the durability last.

XX9 proven that they’re a solid performer. Traction is beast. Cushion is beast. Materials are more supportive than the performance woven XX9, so if you are one of those players that dislikes the woven stuff…these are for you. Not only are these beastly on-court, but nobody buys the damn things so you’ll be able to grab a pair for dirt cheap pretty soon.
