American Sniper

how do you/your fellow SEALs feel about Ventura winning the 1.8 million dollar settlement against his estate/wife?  I think he should have dropped it once the man passed... how can you continue to put his wife through that

Technically speaking Venturd is not a SEAL. He did complete the hardest phase of becoming one (BUDS) but failed to attend the extra training needed to receive his trident and land him in a SEAL team.

He's a HUGE pos for that case. There's no way around it.

^^ I just read about that and saying that half of that she has to pay out of her pocket smh some people.

Wow. :smh:

I had always taken Ventura at his word about being a Navy Seal. After some research it turns out not only was he never a SEAL but he also never saw combat. And this is from the dude who once infamously stated "you've never hunted until you've hunted a man."

Ironic that a liar sued someone for lying. What a scumbag.

Oh and supposedly he was also in a motorcycle gang too. :smh: I wouldn't believe a word that clown says now.

I saw this last week, Cooper is okay but the film really doesn't have any secondary characters worth caring about and overall the story just doesn't feel complete. Hollow film, disappointing for sure.

ya ruined it for me, i was just waiting for his death the entire movie, thanks NT :smh:

I enjoyed the movie. Would have been down for more action. I thought it was going to be on the same level as Lone Survivor, but it wasn't.

Film was cool, they stuck close to the book, left a lot out, but overall solid film, At one point of the movie I thought i was looking at Kyle, They got his look and mannerisms down pact.

I live in Dallas, so when the end of the movie came.. I was like :wow: THATS who this movie was about?!?

Its crazy because I can vivdly remember all the fuss that was made and how they basically shut the freeway down.

Dude seemed like a kick *** cowboy type...

One of the only documentaries that seemed to cover a lot ...

:pimp: movie.

Just saw this 8)

I feel like i got my moneys worth.

Bradley cooper is a really good actor.

Seen it.. Good watch.. Them SEALS go through some things.. Much respect to everyone in the armed services.. I couldn't do it myself..

my moms coworker got the bootleg on deck so i will be watching free... no need for the movie theater to steal money from me

Thanks…it isnt for everyone and a lot of the people who get in can't adjust to military life and eventually get out

movie was well made, i just dislike the message that is being sent in it's undertone

That's what separates us soldiers in SOCOM from regular service personel. What branch and MOS are you?

And let us keep it 100 always...You signed the contract so you have no choice but to adapt. Only way you get discharged is if your seriously injured or you go awol (almost impossible now)

just watched it, great movie. i didnt know it was based of true story. crazy mad respect to all the soldiers. i can never do this job.

I'm curious as to what message you thought the movie conveys.

it just seems like they are portraying the civilians as savages. as if, the civilians who have nothing to do with the war do not have feelings. a kind of them against me, when in reality it is a few 'radicals' not the entire community.

His journals carried that attitude...reason why Im glad I didn't go to the theater...his personal journals were disgusting and nasty

Shoutout to AWAKE for getting it out before the release date

yeah, that's what my friend was saying, he read the book way before the hype.

Saw the movie.
Gave me a lot more respect towards our vets.
I loved it. The way it ended tho [emoji]128532[/emoji]

My niece's husband who is a sniper in the army, and has done three tours in the middle east is the one who tells me whether or not the movie does justice to what war is like over there. I'll wait to hear what he says.
