Do you know how many people went to college especially HBCU's because of him?

Saying we've got to do better is demonizing black people? You don't think we have to do better? We have to do better, but you can't say it publicly? Does that make sense to you? So who can say it? We're waiting on Malcolm X and Dr King to come back and say it?

While Bill Cosby was on top, this is what he has done, and he did it with his wallet.

All Dyson does, is talk.
Now an established star, Bill Cosby is an active philanthropist. One of his largest gifts was a $20 million grant to Spellman College, the largest gift ever granted to any of America’s traditionally black colleges. The gift was used to establish the Camille Olivia Hanks Cosby Academic Center, along with three chairs in the fine arts, social sciences and humanities. The money was also used for a library and archival program of international African women research and resources at the Academic Center.

As far as your accusations are concerned, about his demonizing Black culture, that is nothing but a bunch of bull. Black people are not monolithic, and many people throughout the African diaspora look down upon the stupidity that is repeated and then sold AS some supposed Black representation.

Bill Cosby was right in suggesting that acting in stereotypical behaviours is counterproductive.

However, many people who are stuck in such behaviours, don't like HOW he said it.

 The Cosby’s have a long history as philanthropists and a true  passion for higher education. In 1988 the couple donated $20  million dollars to Spelman College, a historical Black college  located in Atlanta, GA. That same year they gave $1.3 million to Fish University. By 1994 in total they donated over $70 million dollars to several different Historically Black Colleges and  Universities.

How old are some of you and why do you keep repeating this stuff?

Do you know anything about him to say he hasn't done anything?

So he hasn't been promoting education his whole life. He didn't speak at schools in Philly and across the country. He didn't bring the two most positive shows for black people to television? He didn't help black people in Hollywood?

Have you done 1% of what he's done?
 
Bill Cosby is the black person white people who don't like black people would create if tasked with building the prototypical black person. The white people would go to work creating a black man whose main claim to fame is portraying the most Caucasian black doctor the world has ever seen. The white people would clothe the black man in questionable clothing choices. The height of the created black man's urban cred would be voicing a cartoon junkyard band that plays the drums on a trashcan lid. Said band would go on to inspire the most Caucasian thing ever - Stomp. The black man would try to get black men to act like white men by blaming them for being subjugated.

are you serious about tv shows? a show about a family in brooklyn and the moms a lawyer and dads a dr does nothing for real life black folks who actually lived in brooklyn during this time.yea a half hour escape for one night a week then back to the harsh real world,thanks bill lol tv aint helping ****

speaking at schools in philly and saying what exactly? show me a memorable speech ,who the hell did he help in hollywood? please stop 
 
While hypocritical if all true I'm not gonna pretend that Bill's message doesn't have truth to it. There's certain things he's said I've disagreed with and felt was just irrelevant and criticizing just to criticize but he makes good points despite what I've just found out.

A case of heeding the message and not minding the messenger.

I really don't like seeing us pit different black ppl against each other just for the sake of it. Cosby has made good points and so has Dyson. Makes no sense to compare who put more money in to the effort when one is insanely rich and the other is not. Saying all Dyson does is talk is just plain wrong and offensive.
