Leo held it down but The Town had more grit to me ..the heist sequences. ..the shootouts...blake lively playing a southy oxy cotton ho etc

departed is still good tho.

The Town is good but The Departed is one of my favorite movies of all time - it looks fantastic, the story is great and the performances are great.
 
The Town is one of my favorite movies ever. Something about the grittiness of it. Made me wanna visit Boston as well.

Cool city, been there once. Would love to go again.
 
Leo stewing as Wahlberg DESTROYS his life is one of the best scenes in film. The Town is an ok flick, but The Departed is a classic.
 
The Departed, it's not even really close. Don't get me wrong I loved the Town too, LOVED it.

but The Departed had that extra oompf to it. The cast shined and they ALL shined, mr. french. Alec Baldwin. Wahlberg, Martin sheen. even the guy that buried the body and the dog found it when they were watching the news, or the guy that was trying to play "is that cop?" havent even named the heavy hitters in that flick

The Town was great, but affleck, renner, John Ham carried that film.

The Departed easily.

The Town doesn't measure up to it in any way. Still a good film but it's no Departed.

Renner isn't even a good actor :lol: Also :rofl: :smh: @ anybody even bringing up Blake Lively.

I feel like this thread was done once before with similar results.
