I realize the actual dress is blue and black but the original picture that's been circulating has always looked white and gold. Phone, computer, light, dark etc

Was white/gold when I read the thread earlier. Saw Black/blue briefly after I scrolled up to the OP for a second.

Come back a few hours later it's black and blue.

Open the same thread on another forum see white/gold.

Check back the OP in this thread and it's white gold.

My explanation, I mean if you look at the background of the picture, it depends on your perspective. If the dress was outdoors and a shadow casts on it, it's a blue tint. But if the dress is indoors with yellow light bulbs, it will cast a yellow tint on the object. And by the looks of it the dress is actually indoor, with a yellow tint making the black and blue appear that way.

At first I saw white and gold though.

My homegirl showed me this pic which explained what I was talking about

Was white and gold when I came in here hours ago but now it's blue and black.....Illuminati

When it was black and blue I had been sitting in the dark for a while. I just went to the bathroom and brushed my teeth and got ready for bed and it was white and gold when I got back. It definitely has to do with my eyes adjusting to light.

This is crazy. I looked at the dress an hour ago and it's white and gold. Just oooked again and it's black and blue.

Am I the only one where it switches? At first it was white and gold for the whole day. I check an hour ago in all the places I saw them before and it was black and blue. Now its white and gold again.

:nerd:

But it also depends on who repost this pic. Some sources I see it as one set of colors and the other sources I see em as the other

Just so we're clear, we're not still debating the ACTUAL color of the ACTUAL dress, right? It's black and blue. We have photographic evidence from online retailers showing what it looks like lol. This ain't some 9/11 ish where you can pass off crappy video (or, in this case, photography) as something it's not.

The original image is in the middle. At left, white-balanced as if the dress is white-gold. At right, white-balanced to blue-black.

all depends on the lighting bruhs. it's blue.

Yall ******ed.

Lighting has ZERO to do with it because its a picture.

The lighting of the photograph is the same for everyone.

Now the lighting around YOU might have some effect on your eyes but the lighting around the actual dress plays zero roles.

Mannnn this is one of the reasons I don't **** with social media...

I was out with some people having a great, professional conversation...

Went to the restroom and came back and the whole vibe changed with this ********...

Talking about this stupid dress and chain letters blah blah blah...

its black and blue btw

WHAAAAAAT??!!!! I looked at it hundreds of times and it was OBVIOUSLY white and gold no question. Nothing to do with the lighting or the screen angle or whatever. I look at it again just now, same color. I scroll down like I always do to read some comments, scroll back up, and now its BLACK AND BLUE! !@#$%^&*(*&^% And now all the other pictures online are black and blue as well and I can't even remotely see any white/gold in the picture. THIS NEEDS TO BE EXPLAINED BETTER THAN THE ANGLE OF YOUR SCREEN BECAUSE THAT"S BULL!!

I finally see it as black and blue for the first time.
This is Bananas in Pajamas. For real

Scientists are now saying that if you saw white/gold and still see white/gold you're hovering over the borderline of ******ation.

If you saw black/blue (like I did) you're clearly a smart individual with an iq over 110
