Source close to DeAndre Jordan calls Lakers presentation "very professional." Disputes any DJ issue with it. Jordan mulling several options.

So. Andray blatche or kj McDaniels anyone?

Can he terminate his China deal?

We definitely need to pick up some one who can attract other stars next year if we don't land anybody it's going to be tough next year to

Summer League around the corner, I'm amped to see the young guys play together.

I really hope Upshaw shows out, I mean you never know. Whiteside effect.

No we dont. All we need is for that fool kobe to retire.

Players nowadays dont like that one vet riding them and pushing them over the edge. They want to be in control. Kobe gotta go man.

A little excerpt from Mark Medina about the DJ meeting.

The Lakers’ meeting with Jordan featured coach Byron Scott, general manager Mitch Kupchak, assistant general manager Glenn Carraro, senior vice president of business operations Tim Harris, team spokesman John Black, representatives from Time Warner Cable SportsNet, according to a league source familiar with the meeting.

Why the asterisks would you have them there? Seriously, other than "hey look we have our own TV station" they serve no purpose. What are they going to do? Pitch a TV show like they did with Dwight?

:smh: :smh: :smh:

I wonder if there's some kind of stipulation in their contract with us that they get an opportunity to pitch major agents for their own side projects while "helping" bring them into the fold.

Making Kobe the scapegoat is easy I guess but I don't buy that I think it has more to do with Jim and the way they go about trying to recruit players

Making Jim the scapegoat is really easy as well.

Why is it so tough to come to terms with the fact that banking on three young guys, who do have a great deal of potential, but haven't shown anything yet, is not a proposition that enticing to guys in their late 20s to early 30s who want to win now?

Those guys need to stay the **** out of the basketball operations side for sure. But it's probably in the contract somewhere as incentive for them that they get to expand their brand along with Lakers' - giving them rights to sell their product as they fit- all that money Lakers got from the network is coming back to bite them. (To be fair, this is all just personal speculation)

And "very professional" from DJ is just him trying not to burn bridges that's all.

Exactly. If you're going to blame Jim, you also have to blame Mitch and Jeanie for not coming up with anything to pitch.

I'd still blame the situation first and foremost.

The only way to break the cycle of lame presentations is to wait for the three guys to develop and hope they develop well.

Jamie Maggio needs to be in these meetings with nothin on but a thong and a Laker jersey I gurantee they sign on the spot...

Lakers are the hot girl that everyone used to wanna smash. However, she started putting on weight, face started to break out like moon craters, all the partying and fame got to her and her grill looks all messed up. She let herself go.

Recently, she's been through detox, been eating all the right food and keeping a healthy diet. She exercises daily to trim off all the nagging fat. And results are promising, she's getting her figure back, and all her friends and family at home are telling her how good she looks in that new dress.

The day comes, she finally puts on that shinny new dress and heads to the club with everyone she used to chill with, feeling confident and eager to show off her new shape. She throws back some shots and works up the courage, but does not go holler at the all-state quarterback yet, she wants to wait until the timing is right, and instead goes talk to the dudes who she knows used to wanna smash back in the days. However, to her surprise, none of them gives her the time of day. And one of them rejects her and pours a shot over her head, the entire club laughs at her.

-The end

I'd like a Jaime Maggio in my life.

call me a skeptic, but i'm having a hard time believing those reports about the meetings are true. i legit don't think the lakers' presentations are "underwhelming" and that its being leaked as such to make the lakers look bad, IMO. thats what i think ramona shelbourne was getting at in her tweet, and kobe's tweet sort of corroborates that.

What incentive would there be to make the lakers look bad though? Every report was just so high on the front office at the draft and drafting dangelo
