Not if they lose. Those are perfect examples of what I'm talking about.

"How are the Hawks supposed to beat the Wizards when Muscala is chewing up minutes? Let's just be reasonable, please."

That makes no sense, Hawks have been one of the deeper teams through the season, I don't even understand what you're trying to get at.

If they lose, it will probably be because of their lack of rim protection, not a weak bench.

On Zach Lowes podcast last week with JVG, JVG made an argument about how this responsibility shouldnt and doesnt live and die with the coach, and that theres only so much a coach can do to keep a players head in the game, if he's already lost the confidence.

Makes sense. But as I said, there's now a pattern with this team. So its suggests to me there's something Doc isn't doing right or could be doing better. That said, its still on Blake to overcome whatever it is that causes him regress in crunch time situations.

While I generally agree with those saying that the Clips-Rockets series was won (and lost) by the role players, I do feel like Blake should have been able to help us hold on to a win in Game 6. If he played anywhere close to what he did the first half we probably would have won. He needs to figure the late, close game stuff out.

lmaoooo who is liking all these posts hahaha

Wait, so if the clippers lost because a few of their players weren't playing up to the standard they set the previous 4 games, how is that NOT choking?
Isn't the definition of choking being ahead or playing great then suddenly collapsing?

blake legit was testing moves yesterday he'd never done before. Son was experimenting in game 7 hahaha. That time he got ripped when he tried to power spin between 2 defenders, at the 3 point line lmaoooo. Bruh...thats not your game.

Yeah the Clippers choked, obviously. But that's such a lazy attempt at trying to describe what happened.

Let's really talk hoops man. If you're going to bring up the fact that they choked, bring up how they choked? What actually happened?

If you're only going to look at CP3 and Blake's roll in this collapse then that's just lazy. Basketball is a team sport. Things had to happen in order for the Rockets to win and for the Clips to blow a 3-1 lead. CP3 and Blake are only the tip of the iceberg. It's a team sport man and if you look at any championship contending team, I think it's fair to say that teams only go as far as their role players played.

When the Clips played well, they won. When they played horribly, they lost. To not bring this up or mention this at all is just a poor way of trying to fit a pre-constructed narrative that you already had for the Clippers.

I completely forgot
Also, JJ Redick and Matt Barnes essentially won game 7 for us.

Look at how they played in games 5-7. I don't know how if one is actually assessing the clips that you ignore this.

EXACTLY.
Dont forget about Austin having career games in the Rockets series. He was a big reason they were up 3-1. Fell back to what he really is the last 3 games.

Can't win consistently with a 5.5 squad rotation. It'll come back to F you over in the long run. Tank GM Doc for that.

How is it that he is the best point guard in the league...

But has never even made it to a WCF...

AND...his teams offense always falls apart down the stretch of tight games...

Up 19 with 15 minutes to go...how does CP0 NOTget the clippers into a good offense?

Dude is the perfect example of a choker...mid range jumpshot been money all playoffs...he almost single handidly beat the spurs with his midrange jumpshot...

These last 3 games...all got tight at some point with paul on the floor...and every time he went away from his midrange j...would just pass to crawford or blake and spend the rest of the position running away from the ball...or he would have the ball...dribble for 21 seconds...then pass it out to reddikk or crawford for a brick...

If he just continues taking those midrange shots in game 6 clippers are in the WCF right now...isntead he got shook and watched Fright devour Blake chicken in crunch time...

Hmmmm... some good points. *sips tea*

I know there's some photoshop legends in here could anyone try to put CP3 and or Blake on the body of the runner that celebrates to early? and Harden on the dude that wins the race? This pretty much sums up the clippers 2nd round.

Which is what I keep saying but these CP3 is overrated crowd keep ignoring.

They have this black and white perspective of things that says that CP3 isn't good enough and if he was this wouldn't have happened.

When in actuality, the Clippers had JJ Redick, Austin Rivers, (

) etc. performing way over their heads. Had they kept their level of play up, this conversation is a bit different.

I know, I know, CP3 is overrated he's trash not all time and all that ESPN First take gibberish, but people aren't even acknowledging the other players that participated in the series

Role players are what they are. You guys somehow were able to win 56 games, beat the defending champs, and gain a 3-1 lead with minimal bench production. Yet now they are the chief reason for the collapse, nah man. Not buying what you're selling.

JJ Redick performing way over his head...

Regular season: 16.4 points (47.7%, 43.7%, 90%), 2.1 reb, 1.8 assist
Playoffs: 14.9 points (43.5%, 39.8%, 94.3%), 2.1 reb, 1.7 assist

Looks like he was performing pretty normally to me.

It literally comes down to when your role players play well you win, when they don't you lose. When Reddick rivers and Crawford were hot, the Clippers won. When Smith Brewer Jones and Ariza were hot, the rockets won. Save all the other hot takes. Blake, Paul, Harden, Howard all did what they regularly do with minor deviations. When you start getting into "leader should've did this, star player should've did that" yall just sound like you've never played any competitive sport before. Yall spotlight the best player on either team and just start blaming that player thinking you're providing quality insight. Had the rockets lost would've been pages of "d12 isn't serious enough" and "playoff harden". It's like you work off of a script.

Nothing more factual than those bolded parts right there.

I agree.
