AJ XXX (30)

the only resemble i really saw was the elephant print.... the shape and tongue wouldnt be considered a match to the 3, at least not enough to consider it an influence

The shoe you guys posted will hit the same time the 30 hits, they will both be colored in a similar story (blk/gold wht/gold) i forgot what the theme was.... you will see a few more shoes fall into the same story.

I cannot give a reason as to delays, but dont forsee futre. delays.

Only pair I could think of that has the wht/gold cw are the 5 lows. And the 12s the master has the blk wht cw... And with the infared fuchsia color, I can see where the Derrick Anderson 5 low pe would fit in also. And all those shoes release the first quarter of next yr.

really? of course not an exact match, but the resemblance is pretty clear imo. Most definitely influenced by the 3.

not even close. the 4 and 14 has a pointy achillies support as well. not to mention the overall height and the placement of the jumpman on the toe are more 12 than anything. its' Tinker Hatfield, there's always gonna be some part of the new shoe that reminds the old.

Still think they should have stopped at the 23s. Now they're on the brink of throwing off the years.

Even though the XX3 is in my top 3 Jordan sigs of all time. I'm glad they didn't stop there. I still get amped up for the new model every year and love the anticipation and all the events they have for the unveil. There were a few I didn't care for since the XX3 But I thought the 2009 and 2011 were nice and the XX8 and XX9 were really good.

they should have stopped when he stopped wearing them on court

I agree, once MJ retired you didn't have the signature shoe and player together. Other top athletes once they reach a certain level will want to follow in Jordan's footsteps and have their own shoe. Over the years Jordan became a sub brand of Nike.

When I was growing up I wore and played in the 3s through the 23s for middle school and into my 20s. Each signature Jordan release was epic. Always had cutting edge design and technology. When you saw them, you were almost caught off guard and didn't know what to think. An average person would stop you on the street to ask at they were, because they were so different and cutting edge, and then they became iconic. Now the signature shoes are similar to other Nike models, they're no longer the halo shoe they once were.

The Jordan brand is strong, but for me it's all about that signature shoe and its history in my life. The younger generation will gravitate to Lebron, KD, and others and somewhat repeat what MJ did, but that magic already happened.

true, im 33 but didnt get into shoes until 95-96 (Jordan XI made me love shoes) but i remember him wearing the shoes on court and wanting them for sure and ever since he retired i didnt really care for any releases except for the XX that caught my eye being so different and unique i loved them. I feel the same about all sig shoes though like the penny line is stupid with the new releases and the pippen line as well and the barkley fusion/new craps are horrendous. if my fav player never wore them to play his sport then i dont want them to be honest but that might just be me

These comments makes sense in terms of the excitement value of wearing a shoe that a player/athlete is current wearing, however, if it were your business, would you have stopped the Jordan signature line?  No!  It's a business, and they're making a ton of money and profits.  If you owned shares in Nike/JB, you wouldn't want them to stop!
