AJ XXX (30)

I rememberr reading something about them having these made in Italy. It might be A reptile print like the AJ II's. Hear lizard , lizard.... I just hope they retire the EP & Cement speckled theme.

Hope he goes with something stylish and sporty.. Instead of futuristic and basic. 29s were cool but the tech and graphic print made the shoes. Still wasn't a whole lot going on. I want an early numbered Jordan feel.

It's 2015. Where da power laces at?

Warning: The following statements are conjecture. I claim to have no inside info or knowledge. In other words, I'm talking out the side of my neck......

They have the power laces. They work. What's the problem? They break easier than uncooked spaghetti noodles. It's common sense that this is the case  if that "blueprint" sketch is real. You'd be walking on a damn motor. I doesn't take a Niketalk scholar to know that, that sh*t isn't going to last past any serious wears.

So why not release them as show piece for the rich and famous for an obscene amount in very limited numbers? 1:They already did that

2: Nike isn't dumb. They know if pulled off correctly this could be a release that will be talked about for years to come. A pay day of epic proportions. Last run was for for charity. this would be the real mccoy

I know you're talking about power lacing on other model/sigs, but let's be serious, nothing going to showcase power lacing before the Mags.

I think that  they could easily make this work, but not with the Nike Mag design. If they design a different shoe and change around the way it works, we could see something like that released in a year or two. But that kills everything! We want it on the Mags! That's the whole point. A shoe that was never meant to be worn or actually be functional because it's just a movie prop.

I think they made flywire to ease into power laces once they had it down. Mags are totally doable, we have smaller more powerful motors nowadays. But power laces on Jordans would take some thought. The sole couldnt house the motors because youd lose cushioning and court feel as well as giving the motors a good pummeling.

Theyd probably need to be on the heel somewhere with flywire directed where it needs to go. Maybe Jordan finally gets that laceless look hes been aiming for.

Theres a Gibson Robot guitar that has motors on the headstock that automatically tune and adjust the guitar on the fly. The load on those motors would be a lot more than tightening laces on a shoe. I imagine the motors for laces would be pretty small these days.

Furhermore, having a lace system that adjusts to your action on the court would be dope. Like when youre on the bench or in between plays they relax, when you get moving they tighten up or maybe even tighten up in certain areas as you cut and move adapting to your drive to the goal, the most optimal fit for each step to the goal adjusting in real time according to the pressure laid down. That would be ridiculous. Theyd feel alive.

3d printed I believe just means there is some dimentionality to the actual print. That's if the print on the clothes is what we'll see on the XXX. Power laces on the XXX makes sense to me because why wouldn't you put your most advanced technology on one of the most special and technologically advanced shoes in sneaker history? What are your mind-blowing ideas?

That's actually used on the Air Jordan XX9, on the midsole.

Also, power laces wouldn't work on a basketball shoe. The technology would get beat up after several games.

Shoes are already 3D though. Life is 3D.

You thinking about a cool lace lock or something?

Who says we need mind blowing ideas? It's a shoe. Nike will throw something different in there and market it strongly, convincing us it's revolutionary and ground breaking. End of the day, it's just another shoe. No need for power laces on a performance shoe, that's just gimmicky. How does that really help? Are people unable to lace shoes themselves or correctly utilize a strap?
