AJ XXX (30)

I honestly don't know if someone stepped on them or if it's from me slashing (I plant on my left leg a lot) but it's a tear. I can pull the material apart and see the next layer underneath.

got my xxx today and yes I felt the padding rub against my achilles before I even placed my foot on the floor. Just moving my foot felt like a burning tear of skin. So I tested different socks to see which one would lessen the pain. The nike elite socks felt horrible. Not only did I feel the achilles pain but the fit overall was too snug. I needed something thinner but thick enough to ease the pain. Out of all my socks these socks right here felt absolutely great!

Nike elite cushioned no-show tab running socks. No pain whatsoever. Overall fit felt perfect with no toe pain and achilles feels good. Not as thick as regular elite bball socks but thick enough to have some cushioning. The material feels like a soft cashmere in the grey areas ( heel, forefoot ) Only problem is that I feel like these socks will wear out very fast since they're running socks. Got these at SL nike for $5 but only got 1 pair. I need more!

...a....burning...tear...of....skin...

I agree, "Burning and Tearing" of skin from "Padding"? My pair's padded with cushion not small razor blades :nerd:

Not like hot, burning flesh cut open lol. My skin is very sensitive in that area of my foot so the first wear felt very weird. Went out for a walk and the padding has worn down considerably and feels much better now.

Got my pair in as well and I'm currently wearing them around the house to get a feel(stance NBA socks btw). So far the notches are noticeable but not uncomfortable. Going to hoop in them Wedsneday evening, hopefully no unbearable pain.

My 2 cents, i hooped em in and have no issues whatsover with the heel padding. Like none. Now with that said, i still need to break them in. The forefoot area is pretty stiff and i think if i played longer than an hour, I wouldve got blisters.

So my Eastbay pair is in, meaning my SNKRS pair is going back. My big decision will be to send in the pair ive been wearing or the brand new pair? Ive started the break in process on the pair ive been wearing so i may keep it going, and send back the eastbay pair

since you plan to actually play in them then keep the one you already started breaking in

if that was me though, I'd play a few more games before sending back a pair and see if something pops up that you may not like or the upper rips like the pair on top of the page

Yeah ill probably do that. Kinda want to hoop in the Eastbay pair just to confirm they feel the same (no heel pain but not great forefoot fit)

got my pair and on initial wear the heel is noticeable but not painful

the heel cushion felt more solid this time around because it was new and hasn't sagged or softens up yet like the ones in the store I've tried on

shoe is also narrow but after a few minutes, my wide foot has adapted to it and didn't feel as constricting, just locked down

Glad to hear other good experiences with this shoe.

Good news today, my voucher is on it's way for the pair I sent in to Nike because the upper and midsole were separating near the inside of the forefoot (flex point ) on both shoes.

My dilemma- I love the black colorway but don't wanna deal with another pair falling apart after playing in them. May just do it and hope it doesn't happen this time around, or stick to casual for a while then hoop in them later.
