Good luck to your fam BC. As for the looting, it is stupid. It seems as if people are waiting for a reason to steal. They aren't proving any points, if anything their actions detract from whatever "point" they were attempting to make. Also, I see it as a sign of cowardice, they have 7 days a week to steal and commit other crimes, but no, they wait until there is a sense of "togetherness" to do all of this. Like seriously, stealing from liquor stores is exactly what is needed to get your point across. Anyway, I hope that your fam is alright man because no one should have to live in fear of stupidity.I still have no idea why people choose to loot to "prove their point". Yea yall not from here so u don't know what kinda **** we was rockin , n that's understandable ...just saying that ****** wasn't rockin g unit, enyce n all that in 2005 let alone 2008 when the show ended 
Had us looking like nyc dudes in 99 or south cats until recently...shoulda used our own brands that the city had
But on topic like I said the show was on point with the events going on and **** still ain't really change

I visited Baltimore a few times over the past few years as a close friend of mine lived there during college and for 2 more years after graduation. I mean, he lived in Fells Point so I saw a different side of Baltimore than the one you're describing. It reminded me of what my neighborhood in Brooklyn has turned into over the past decade or so.
I did drive through the west side of Baltimore once when we were coming back from dinner, and to me it was worse than any neighborhood that I ever drove through in NYC. And I've driven through everywhere. I did watch the show before I went out there so I knew that it would be bad, but it looked a lot of worse than I expected.

Thank God that there are still people who have a clue. It is sad that people have to clean up behind some people's stupidity. They terrorized their own neighborhood, and then are going to leave it to good citizens to attempt to pick up the pieces.
