So I'm a writer as some may know and I've been thinking about launching my own website. Still in the early stages of things, need to come up with a good name and narrow down exactly what I want the site to focus on (not sure if just sports, or add a little more diversity to it), but I would like to hear form people that have started websites and their experiences with everything. How was it getting things started? Have you been able to monetize it? Has it been a worthwhile/enjoyable experience? Is funding necessary? Have you created an LLC to go along with the site?

Here's an IG account of a chick with an amazing rack as my sign of appreciation for your assistance and insight:

I was part of a team that created a web magazine as part of my capstone digital entrepreneurship class.

We wrote out a 20 page business plan and had to make a presentation to potential investors

Whatever you do, you already okayed me to write about yambs
of course papi. which is why I'm leaning toward it being a more diverse site than just sports. would rather appeal to a greater demographic.

mind elaborating a little more on that experience?

We wrote out the business plan based on a sort of checklist our professor gave us

Business structure, startup costs, competition, marketing, ad revenue, whether to incorporate or act as a general partnership, etc

To be honest I was more the "salesman" of the group due to my experience with sales and journalism, so my portion of the business plan and presentations were more centered on "selling" the idea based on a thorough analysis of our competition and what we do differently from them, I was the smiling, sharp dressed funny guy of the group while everyone else handled the boring stuff. I was also in charge of producing "interesting" content for the site as opposed to "useful". We got an A :pimp:

Competition is really important and there are definitely tons of other considerations to be had...I can send you our checklist and our business plan whenever I make it to a computer. Just gotta remind me
