Tuxedo dropped the best RnB album of the last 5 years. Wow

Heard Tariq talk about it. Thought it was an old school group in his ig vid but he said it was these guys

Thought there was another thread on this album..
**** is fire :smokin
Reminds me of the 80s soul/funk scene

Great album for sure. I feel like if you can't dig anything off this album, you have no soul whatsoever.

Also, I wouldn't necessarily call this a tribute album. It's definitely cohesive production from Jake One, but it really does sound a lot like some of Mayer's other stuff. Whatever the case, I'll gladly take more of this type of music. :pimp:

Jake One produced a lot of old school Rnb/Funk songs from what I know about him, and this album is sort of an homage to that era of the 80s Synth RnB.

My copy from Stones Throw just came in the mail. About to give this a listen. I loved Mayer's early work and dig Jake One so I'm expecting good things.

As for the title… I gotta think there's no way this is touching Black Messiah. Is there?
