Is Kanye West too UPPITY to be the world's greatest living rockstar?

Kanye is good for generating attention for all the wrong reasons. Says a lot when you have to constantly tell people that you're a "genius."

meh Ric Flair told everyone to be the man wooooooo you gotta beat the man wooooo

Big Sean is the best rapper on that label.
You don't have to make rock music in order to be a rockstar.

I feel like this thread is gonna be full of people saying "but he don't make rock music doe" not realizing rockstar is a cultural thing. Rockstar meaning the sex, drugs and rock and roll lifestyle, the controversy and cultural impact that comes with it.

Big Sean coo. I don't go to him for lyricism. He make cool little music, he like a modern day Ma$e or Fab to me. He make that flashy **** to get dressed to.

He gets points for this video...

Is Mos Def still on GOOD? Common? I think either of those would wrap that debate up.

You talking like Ma$e is the GOAT or something . . .

Ma$e (like Sean) made cool little flashy music that sounded good and you really didn't go to for substance or lyricism . . . He was nice as Murda Ma$e but when it came to his short mainstream run . . . he just made **** that sounded real good . . . you really ain't go to him for bars . . .

Talking like this is some lyrical classic . . .

He got some classic joints. One of my favorite rappers because his style was smooth and Harlem World one of my favorite albums and he probably would have had some more fire albums if he stuck around for prime Kanye/Neptunes/Timbaland/Just Blaze/Heatmakers beats . . . but stop talking like he is untouchable on the bars or some ****.

"Do y'all read posts or just skim thru em"

Most people remember Ma$e for that smooth pretty boy get fly ****. That's his legacy.

You wildin. Mase wasn't even that pretty. I can name 5 rappers off the top of my head that were more pretty boy than mase, B. And that's just facts

Wasn't calling Ma$e pretty, just saying he made pretty boy music.

But I couldn't look my father in the eyes and tell him I was on NT debating whether a rapper is or isn't pretty so I'm out

http://www.forbes.com/sites/hughmci...p-100-which-ties-a-record-set-by-the-beatles/ This week, Canadian rapper Drake has fourteen tracks in the Hot 100, the Billboard chart that measures the one hundred most popular songs in the country across all genres, using an algorithm that combines radio play, sales, and some streaming outlets. That number ties a record for the most songs in the top one hundred at one time(in a single one week frame) that was set by The Beatles back in 1964.
