Been on these since summer when I was too stubborn to buy A/C. Turns out..

Anxiety : Demolished.

Depression : Relieved to some extent.

More energy, clearer skin, softer hair. Cold showers even helped alleviate some basic soreness I've had in my feet since high school basketball.

This is my new religion. Once a day no matter what, twice if I have the time. Any other followers?

PS google 'cold showers' if you want semi-legitimate medical info, tons of articles out there...

I do cold showers after work outs.

Sometimes just for fun.

Sometimes Ill take a hot sholder and then cool it down at the end to rinse.

Yea I do it, in the morning. I'm talking about icyest it can go from start to finish. I don't think it should be that crucial to wake up. But its the only thing that wakes up me and gets me ready.  Like fo real  there is a difference in my day. Hella weak but yea. Meaning I wish I could take warm/***/herion feeling showers...But at night doe oh its hot

Every now and then I like to buss out the occasional cold shower. Here's my routine. I start off warm, to get my body wet. Then I turn the water off and lather up real proper, soap or badu wash, whatever you rock with, soap up and make sure every inch of your body from your neck down is soaped up and lathered. Use a different wash rag for your butt crack and genitalia. Let the soap sit on ya skin for a minute. I call this the conditioning phase. Works best if you got some high quality soap too. Then turn the water on FULL FORCE arctic mode. Rinse off, and keep that ice water splashing on your body so it closes your pores. Wash your face with cold water. Use the apricot scrub exfoliator and rinse with cold water to tighten up those pores. I don't use a towel to dry either, I lay a towel on my bed, lay flat down back down on it in the snow angel position, and turn the ceiling fan on high speed. It's the most hygienic and best way to get dry

After that, baby powder on the crack and balls, cocoa Shea butter everywhere else, spf15 facial moisturizer on the face.

The hair is a whole other regimen

Yup actually just started this a few weeks ago. I can definitely feel a difference in the morning. Only the first 30 sec to a min are rough  but after its not too bad at all

I respect your routine, even if it's a little too OCD for me. Co-sign on the apricot scrub, got the miniature/travel size for every vacation

I soak in ice bathes from time to time after workouts.

I rarely take a whole shower cold, but i do take those showers sometimes in the mornings where i switch between hot and cold water every few minutes.
I remember reading about it somewhere, how it shocks the body into waking up. So i've been doing it ever since.

been taking cold showers for the past few months...its a good test to see how long you can last in it freezing

If anyone else is doing it to in an effort to boost their immune system Astragulus root is one of the best things you can take. Whenever I feel a sore throat coming on or a like a cold is coming I take it and I fend of the cold from every coming. One of the doctors from Iran I worked with told me about it, works amazing

Sprouts sells it looks similar to this

Just got in this thread. I've never taken any cold showers in my life tbh lol. I've taken ice baths when I would finish track workouts, but never full on showers in Arctic mode. I'm definitely going to give it a try.

No pillow?

I think the claim is that if you sleep with no pillow, like cavemen did, if forves you to breath out of your nose (or mouth, dont know which) and that somehow results it some health benefits

I dunno why dudes just don't get a sleep study instead

Ice baths!! . . I'm still sorta scared.

I heard LaDamian Tomlinson say he made his own via a couple bags of ice and a bathtub.

I'm tempted, but man. Cold showers are gradual. Nothing gradual about ice-cold fury.

I tried doing a homemade ice bath once (in my late teens?) after watching too much Sportscenter...

Did probably 3 trips between the kitchen & the tub before I looked down at the struggle & realized it wasn't going to work out

I have been trying to take solely cold showers for some time now but got damn do I miss that hot, soothing water.

repped for baby powder. I dont wear deodarant at night because I'll wash it off in the morning so I just pat some baby powder there in stead and a lil bit too on the nuts so they feel nice and dry

I'm a little girly man. I always find an excuse not t do this. Think I'm going to start tomorrow morning.

I take hot showers but at the end I love to get right under the shower head and let the water flow over me,while I gradually turn the knob until it is freezing cold, and see how long I can last.
Feels amazingly good
