you chose to ignorantly group in officials and politicians with "regular" white people? Not me.
 
Sad thing is, this country is going to be screwed within the next 20 years if this race issue isn't met head on. There's too much resentment building, ignorance brewing, other things that make this place a racial powder keg.

And it's not even so much that we're celebrating it's literally been "nobody cares."
 
thats where the apathy comes in

if more "regular white people" actually ostracized "the racist whites", then it would be easier to be able to tell that "regular white folk" care about "blacklives"

but "Regular white folk" are apathetic to racial issues because it simply doesnt affect from their seat of power

Yeah, it does suck. At the same time, not every white person applauds the plight of black people (I know I don't). That's the part that really sucks. Forget the reasons for death increase, indifference towards any group dying at an alarming rate is just sad. It's sad to think that had I not made different choices with my life, that my death would be dismissed as "I don't care. White people. Whatever."
 
Any broad generalization of race is just plain ignorant. So much ignorance in this thread it is sickening.

You wonder why some say things like "black people cant be racist" and why it seem like some of us damn near feel entitled to hate white? Its because we've seen stuff like this on a GRAND scale. The GRAND-est, you can image even.

I get that to an extent, man. But dude, if I said I was dying right now, would you be like "Oh, well. He's white?" I don't think you would (maybe you would...I don't know). But why not? Because I'm just a sole person. These are all sole people making up a demographic. Some are racist, some aren't. Dismissing the whole group because of past injustices not done in their name is messed up.

You are correct.

But you also can't discount the other people's experiences and how they view things in this world. It's easy for you to say don't hold all white people responsible, but black people have to deal with white folks perception of them ALL the time, based on **** they seee on movies and hear in rap music. Most don't even have extensive interaction with black people but have their minds made up already. Or, to your point, how about the white folks who've had a bad experience with a black person, and then proceed to hold every black person accountable?

So while I understand and agree with your point, you have to understand that it's just not that simple.

I totally understand what you are saying. I guess my disgusts lies with anyone that can be apathetic towards a large group of people dying simply because of their race.
