Los Angeles Rams are coming home thread (1/12)

are those combine measurements?

I was surprised Goff was 6-4. Saw that on the player page online, but thought they may have added an inch to his stats.

If you really like Goff, don't look at highlights of Wentz. You'll start second guessing yourself. I'm gonna pretend he's not there

waston
brad kaaya
chad kelly
baker mayfield
luke falk

its some other QB's also

im shock watching all that pac 12 ball your in love with goff
Not a fan of Watson. I've seen guys like him have great college careers only to be nothing in the NFL.

LOL like who?

waston would be going number 1 in this draft if he could enter

he is a better QB then then everyone goff and wentz

One thing i will say though, they can't miss on this pick. Would put them back for many years at a time where they can't afford to flop going into a new stadium.

Thats why I'm confident they did their homework and saw something they absolutely love in the 2 QB's to give up that haul.

Or is Fisher throwing all his chips in because he knows with another subpar season, he's out?

We need to luck up and find a steal at wide receiver in round 4. Rams are terrible at drafting wideouts and have no eye for talented ones who are overlooked.

have they though? Later rounds to me is 5-7, but lets consider 4-7.

Who have they chosen thats panned out in rounds 4-7?

Nobody to me.

They have lived off the 1-3 rounds. Thats not very difficult. I'm not giving them credit for doing a good job in 1-3.

They did a good job in round 3 with Trumaine and TJ. I like Mo Alexander in round 4. But other than that, nothing really happening.

They have WHIFFED with 3 out of their last 5 1st rounders (BUST: GRob, Tavon, Brockers, not really living up to that 1st round pick).

Lets not mention the ineptness with our free agent signings. Biggest free agent signing? Jared Cook? Jake Long?? :smh:

They are living off the Donald and Ogletree picks, and now Gurley.

I'm waiting for them to prove they deserve the jobs. Their future is completely tied to whoever they take with the #1, obviously.

i actually meant EJ and not Mo. Thats legit one dude in 4 drafts.

Snead and Fisher haven't done squat in two key areas: Drafting well in the later rounds and getting free agents. The excuse was "who wants to come play in St Louis?" That excuse is no longer valid. Put up or shut up time.

No doubt. But you do have to admit it was tough to attract any free agents to STL.It was that way long before the Fisher era

Until Fisher gets canned this organization won't reach his full potential.

The draft is a crap shoot.. they've done fine in that area.

still have faith that GRob will figure it out, it's clicking for Tavon and he's only going to get better with Goff/Wentz, and you calling Brockers a bust blows my mind.. prolly the most underappreciated guy on the team

GROB will pan out once he moves out of LT. But he was picked #2. You don't use a #2 on a linemen who's not a LT.

Tavon is garbage. We'll be down 24 points in the 4th and he'll catch a 12 yard pass and pound his chest. He doesn't get it, and probably never will. A typical WR diva, but in this case, with no real abilities. Fast but can't run routes and is lazy AF. He doesnt work on his craft, and thats what bugs me. He could/should be better. Now, not having a real QB affects him, so i will give him credit there. Lets see what he does with a QB who can actually throw it. But he's real close to be a full time punt returner. Oh, and we traded up to draft him (gave up our #1, a #2, #3 and #7 in the 2013 draft) and gained a #3 from the Bills (which i believe, was TJ Mac)

Brockers just doesn't wow me. I expect more out of him. Lets not forget, we moved out of the #6 spot in that draft to pick him #14 and we did get another 2nd rounder from the Cowboys. I expect more out of them LSU defensive players.

WHat's the theme here though? All 3 of these guys were top 15 picks, with one being #2 overall and the other #8. Terrible circumstances, if you ask me. You aint going to be very good when you're drafting Grob, Austin, and Brockers with high picks.

We need to do better, plain and simple. Combine that with poor coaching, and well, you get a 7-9 franchise.

Like I said before, my biggest anticipation if we drafted a QB was going to have him grow with Gurley.

So here's to that. :smokin

Some stuff I thought thru, thought I'd share for those that don't go into the Draft thread

Last 4 First Rounds:

LA Rams
Tavon Austin WR
Alec Ogletree LB
Greg Robinson OT
Aaron Donald DT
Todd Gurley RB
Jared Goff QB

Whew. Damn shame they won't have a first rounder next year, but having 6 the past 4 years will help alleviate some of that I suppose.

But, they don't have their next pick til Round 4, pick #110. The cost of getting Goff could keep them from really rounding out that roster, coulda had Paxton Lynch at 15 instead, and still had their 2nd, 3rd and first round pick next year.

Interesting study over the next couple years

I liked Paxton, but he's a better fit with Denver right now. Goff will do more with less. Paxton is jumping into a GREAT situation over at Denver. That was a beautiful spot for both sides.

I've hated Tavon since day 1, but I think he's going to work well with Goff. They both fit each others strengths.

Crossing fingers we could get Braxton Miller in the 4th round. Might be a little too late. I love the kid.

We have to hit big with that 4th rounder, to make up for not having a 3rd and 4th.

If we can have Miller fall into our hands, it would be grand! I really think we're a 10-6 team. Hopefully that will be enough for a playoff spot

Its going to be close with Braxton. He's on their radar.

Wish we had one of those 2nd round picks this year. Would love to take a gamble on Myles Jack. As a USC guy, its hard for me to say anything good about anything Bruin related, but he's a stud.
