10 Cloverfield Lane Vol. Secret Cloverfield movie OUT NOW! Vol: Spoiler Warning

Ok, now I'm starting to think Goodman's character is somehow connected to the awakening of the monster or knew about it before everything popped off and he somehow feels responsible.
 
Hopefully, there's an actual monster outside and it's not Goodman just trying to rape them.

"It was unfinished for a long time because this movie was originally part of Paramount's Insurge Division, which was a sector of Paramount devoted to low-budget films made for 5 million or less. The Insurge division collapsed and folded up and this film(when it was originally called Valencia) was caught in limbo with no studio home. Eventually, it was grabbed up by Paramount again and new scenes were written in by Dan Casey to connect the film to the 'Cloverfield' universe so it would actually make some money in theaters. Those new scenes/reshoots were shot in March 2015 and they've spent the last year editing and adding effects. I'm starting to get a real funny feeling about this film the more and more I dig around. The original script, the fact that none of the original 'Cloverfield' crew are involved (aside from JJ), and the fact that Paramount is releasing a film with a 5 million dollar budget in IMAX, is beginning to seem like a big cash grab for Paramount to make a few quick bucks off of an orphaned movie that they bought :

The original Cloverfield is one of those movies where I just don't respect your opinion on movies if you didn't like it.
 
The original was dope from the teasers and mini website clues and everyone trying to figure out what the monster looked like. Then the movie came out and it was pretty good if you went in there with an open mind.
 
i just love how this movie was kept in the dark for like 1-2 months before dropping. thats so dope to me for some reason.

JJ used Star Wars as a smokescreen

It feels that way because every (big) movie nowadays gets announced years in advance. People knew about it this movie, but if you don't make a formal announcement and film it under a different title, nobody really cares. Also, the release date (March) doesn't generate a whole lot of buzz.
 
honestly the only reason the first one was good was because of the viral marketing and NT buying into it, myself included.

the slusho website, the fake news reports of the oil rig...it was dope.

i actually came here looking for the same but i guess not

That kinda goes back to my theory that he has guilt over the events. I think he saw the monster or knew about it in some way.
 
On the most recent commercial it looks like a house is about to explode or something
 
Many people assumed that 10 Cloverfield Lane would be a direct sequel to Matt Reeves' original film, but during an interview with Empire, producer J.J. Abrams insisted that though this is a "spiritual successor", it's very much its own thing - with its own monster!

"Well, what I’ll say is that there is a new monster in this movie," the Star Wars: The Force Awakens director confirmed. "It isn’t the Cloverfield monster that you know, but this all plays into a sort of larger conceit that we have. As I said earlier, calling it Cloverfield 2 would have been overtly misleading. This is definitely its own thing."

The happening wasnt that bad of a curve, imo just left me like :stoneface: really .. the plants? Id say Sixth Sense followed by The Village

Signs was great until that whole glasses of water scene :smh: aliens was lookin authentic kinda scary when Joaquin saw rem on the spanish news clip, then the one holding Kevin McCallister Jr died like a punk.
 
Crazy this comes out in a week yet all I'm seeing is BvS and CW commercials and they're both weeks and months away.
 
I was crazy hyped for the first one, but I went to the theater and

The trailer/premise of this one looks really good... hopefully it is way better than the first one
