I think people are mad because she's an openly feminist comedian who's outspoken and recognizable. I think always going to be a sub culture on the internet who hate women like that and want to see them out the paint with a quickness.
Video was filled with reaches and seems like people are a little too gleeful and quick to buy some pretty lame accusations. She's obviously talented. and comparing it to Carlos Mencia is crazy.

If people are out to get Amy Schumer for being "openly feminist," where are all of the people out to get Sarah Silverman? She's been very open about her feminism and has made some pretty controversial statements regarding it over the years. Maybe it's because her material is original?
It's just mind-boggling to me. You have clip, after clip, after clip of some very similar bits/skits and you're clinging to the argument of "people are just out to get her because she's a feminist" with no evidence to support that claim.
Amy Schumer also does Bud LIght commercials now. That's pretty lame.

Watched the video. I'm not really familiar with her outside of just seeing her stuff advertised. I can't say that I've seen one of her specials, tv shows or bits. Having said that, she comes off as a thief in that video. I'm a HUGE Patrice O'Neal fan and listen to his stuff all the time at work with my headphones on. The fact that she stole from him alone is enough for me. Sad that he was so damn good but constantly shot himself in the foot when it came to opportunities.

1. You'd have to be pretty naive not to recognize that there are a ton of he-man woman haters on the internet. I mean...really naive.
2. What do we have in this video?
a. We have two sketches written by a staff of writers she employs. and the two sketches weren;t exactly stunningly original concepts that could not have been arrived at indispensable.
b. The Patrice Joke is the same premise but not the same joke. If having the same premise constituents theft then a lot of comedians are in trouble. Keep in mind patrice didn't make up the donkey punch and these sex acts, again this very easily could have been arrived at independently.
c. the Maron one has already been debunked.
d. Slap chef? She performed a joke written for her by one of her writers? are you new to comedy? again not a some super original thing either.
F. a guy to pays...for sex. a throwaway hacky line. that supposed to invlidate her whole career?
g. women dress men for other women. another throwaway line.
Your making this way bigger than it is and so Its fair to ask what motivates you. and given the volume of women hating that exists on the internet and on NT you can't brush it of as delusions of persecutions. when people are hyper ventilating off a video filled with REACHES.
If anything people should be making fun of Schumer for going through well worn sex comic 101 jokes.

Lets say I acccept the premise she whole cloth ripped those two lines.
Thats TWO LINES.
movies, stand up specials, sketch show, radio hits, ect ect. and you got two lines that sound similatr to two to other lines.
and that means her comedy is fraudulent?
Robin Williams got multiple of joke stealing accusations and I don't hear anyone trying to invalidate his entire career?

EDIT: Robin Williams was notoriously known for stealing jokes. Joe Rogan has talked about it a couple times on his podcast. So has Joey Diaz. Noone really went after him for whatever reason..... Doesn't meant they can't go after others. Anyhow, This is such a shame.

Same with the Patrice bit. Tons of urban dictionary sex jokes. She chose the EXACT same two as Patrice and in the exact order too?
The Slap Chef joint could be a coincidence but at the same time she probably saw that bit and probably thought that changing it from Oprah to a generic infomercial would be different enough.
I wrote this as I watched the vid, and I've seen enough. Get this chick out the paint or at least just let her stay as an actor only and don't ask her to come up with "original" material.
If one of these comes out for Chappelle i'mma be tight.

The video is full of reaches but saying you're not a fan, saying you could probably make this same compilation with any comedian, saying this is only because people hate feminists. There are legendary comedians with way worse stuff on their resume, Dennis Leary, and Robin WIlliams (RIP) are two famous examples, but nobody wants to talk about that.
like I said, even if she took those two lines, if I was a fan that wouldn't be enough to make me suddenly sop liking all the other material she put out.
