I'm talking about being "too" black for a lot of folks...brashness, etc.

I like Cam Newton as a football player. But he's not pushing any social injustices or anything like that. A couple of people complain about him dabbing after every first down and you guys are running with this race thing.
Even his contemporaries on the field have a problem with his dancing. Brandon Marshall has recently said something about his dancing. It's not just a bunch of balding middle aged white guys.
I now hope the Panthers lose, just to see a bunch of people here on NT get bothered

The dislike and real disdain for Ali though happened after the title and Islam conversion. There was definitely some dislike, especially from writers, prior but nothing like what was to come. And to be fair some of his comments warranted some of the brushback. But after winning and converting, that is where the whole jumble of his race, religion, stance on social issues occurs and you can't point to one variable. Not to mention the hatred that he faced is almost not comparable to what Cam is facing (and that's a good thing).

That's the thing. If the Panthers were 7-9 and he was out here dabbing while getting blown out, then it would be a problem.

I'm not saying every literally every made three, but when Steph gets going, you can bank on them celebrating after every play.
I don't hate on it because I love seeing teams have fun. **** if I played in the NBA and played with Steph ill be celebrating like a fool. Just find it funny that's all

You can't be serious man..no people are overreacting to the Cam hate, but literally everyday somebody is out here speaking down on how he acts on the field?
this has been going on his entire career.It's not a handful b. Search his name on Twitter on game days or whenever the panthers is played (which is the easiest way to really understand how much hate he gets) and you'll see.

The Warriors and Curry do not celebrate after every made 3. When they do celebrate it fits into the game. When Cam does it, it seems so forced. As if he's trying to push his brand or something.
