Back when I was a sophomore in college in 02, I was searching for info on random jordans. whenever i googled something, a niketalk page was always towards the top of the results. I clicked on it, but I saw all the topics and thought I would have to dig through posts, so I wasn't interested in looking. Later on, I clicked on a link again and found something mad interesting and continued to check back regularly. just jordan forum though. i glanced at general and thought it was just a bunch of bored cats and nothing interesting going on. one of the topics was 'how do you dress, pretty boy, thug, pretty thug', I was like I legit can't remember how I became a general regular.

these cats sign up & go directly to general..boggles my mind considering da advent of social media.

as for me? i talked da ear off of a Nike operator back in 2000 as she recommended i check this "non nike affiliated site" for particular questions that required in-depth analysis from affecionados.

Lurked forever in the JB forum in the early 2000s

Swear I tried to join multiple times but if I remember back then there was a selection process and they used to post all the new inductees like it was a secret society.

I guess the mods wasn't ****** with me

Didn't find general until later and that's why I actually joined.

Never was, the only pair of Nikes I own is a pair of running shoes . Sneakers like Jordans etc generally aren't that popping over here though, I don't recall ever seeing anyone wear them outside of sports activities here.
They were pretty common in other European countries I've visited like France and the UK.
