No one is surprised that people are outraged. The issue is that people are outraged as if this country wasn't built on this type of protest.
Protest isn't supposed to feel good to you or me. It's supposed to be divisive. It's supposed to get people talking. To take a quote from Stephen A Smith (I never thought I'd be doing this) it's supposed to make you choose sides.
I get it. Like i said he has the right to protest how he sees fit. I also see why people got upset about how he did it. But hey, if people want athletes to stand up for things and bit just be mindless entertainers it isn't going to be all peaches and creme. Feelings will be hurt. Can't complain about safe spaces and then get hysterical over Kaep.
CK: You have Hillary who has called black teens or black kids super predators, you have Donald Trump who’s openly racist. We have a presidential candidate who has deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn’t make sense to me because if that was any other person you’d be in prison. So, what is this country really standing for?

Aside from red lining, the war of drugs, tough on crime policies, stop and frisk, voter id laws, police beatings, cops shooting fleeing victims, blind hate for our black president, the southern strategy, and rampant discrimination in the healthcare and labor markets, I could go on.
