People keep bringing up "what has he done before?"

It all starts somewhere, now we will wait and see what he does from here on out.

If you also didn't hear, he's been sitting for the past 3 preseason games.

And also Eagles fans, Mike Tavares said he would sit also. But y'all don't know who that is.

Once again, if Kap wants to sit for the playing of the national anthem then FINE so be it. His REASONING for doing so just isn't adding up to me. He said "police brutality" but he could have been more specific in citing a specific recent case. He could have said the recent Milwaukee incident, the Baltimore mother incident or something else. Instead it was just a vague statement of "police brutality". Which one is it if any that has Kap feeling the way he does.

The hell are you talking about? Why does he need to be specific in order for his point to be valid?

sidenote: I keep hearing/reading people say the soldiers are fighting for our freedom. When was our freedom threatened?

No one is surprised that people are outraged. The issue is that people are outraged as if this country wasn't built on this type of protest.

Protest isn't supposed to feel good to you or me. It's supposed to be divisive. It's supposed to get people talking. To take a quote from Stephen A Smith (I never thought I'd be doing this  ) it's supposed to make you choose sides.

I get it. Like i said he has the right to protest how he sees fit. I also see why people got upset about how he did it. But hey, if people want athletes to stand up for things and bit just be mindless entertainers it isn't going to be all peaches and creme. Feelings will be hurt. Can't complain about safe spaces and then get hysterical over Kaep.

CK: You have Hillary who has called black teens or black kids super predators, you have Donald Trump who’s openly racist. We have a presidential candidate who has deleted emails and done things illegally and is a presidential candidate. That doesn’t make sense to me because if that was any other person you’d be in prison. So, what is this country really standing for?

This quoteis getting almost ZERO attention. He just said Hillary should be in prison and it's being glossed over by the media.

And when did he say that he didn't support troops? I am still trying to figure that out.

You stay with the same schtick over and over.

You're sensitive as hell and are outraged over everything, yet you wanna lecture about same spaces

Why the **** do you care so much about Hillary Clinton's god damb emails. Even in this thread, you want people and the media to stop and talk about that ****.

You stay wanting people to talk about issues on your terms.

Like you do know what you can support someone and disagree with something else they said. :rolleyes Even the people that agree with that statement probably don't want it to take away from main point, that black people are not getting justice.

Every link you posted talked about and referred to the days of legalized slavery....which is over with. That's not to say that the struggle or effects of slavery don't still exist cause they do but the actual days of slavery are over with.

And when did he say that he didn't support troops? I am still trying to figure that out.

Same... as a matter of fact, he says he supports the troops.

It's being glossed over to keep the drama going:

CK: I have great respect for the men and women that have fought for this country. I have family, I have friends that have gone and fought for this country. And they fight for freedom, they fight for the people, they fight for liberty and justice, for everyone. That’s not happening. People are dying in vain because this country isn’t holding their end of the bargain up, as far as giving freedom and justice, liberty to everybody. That’s something that’s not happening. I’ve seen videos, I’ve seen circumstances where men and women that have been in the military have come back and been treated unjustly by the country they fought have for, and have been murdered by the country they fought for, on our land. That’s not right.

If you slowed down and read it properly, you would see that i'm saying the people who complain about safe spaces need to not be so outraged and fragile about the protest. Which i'm not.

The guy said hillary should be in prison. Generally that migjt get a little attention in the media. I find it interesting that it hasn't. Why is that hard to see.

you know his was vilified & exiled for years for this though... context is key.

black people don't have to love America unconditionally, especially with they have and continued to go through

this is why racial tensions never heal...

if ur in a relationship & u keep blaming ur significant other for dirt they did years ago everytime something happens there is no moving forward.

The people that you generally complaining about safe spaces and not the people that are really going at Kaep.

But if you wanna be on this, then fine, put aside by first two line.

The rest still applies

ayo Mr.Belgium...you should be more worried about getting your head chopped off then what a American Football player does exercising his 1st Amendment right

matta fact?

Belgium has the highest per-capita rate of foreign fighters of any Western European country, and its anti-terrorism police are struggling to keep up with the number of cases of radicalized individuals they see.

go chew on that for a while... >D

Ninjahood, raising the bar for ignorance regarding the African American community since 2004

Yep because the black community has been treated amazing over the past 50 years. :rolleyes

Aside from red lining, the war of drugs, tough on crime policies, stop and frisk, voter id laws, police beatings, cops shooting fleeing victims, blind hate for our black president, the southern strategy, and rampant discrimination in the healthcare and labor markets, I could go on.

Things have been amazingggggggggggg

Don't even waste your time with that clown.

No one on NT or any where else on the internet can get through to this man. He is never going to change his stance on these kind of topics.

He should be ignored when it comes to these topics. If it doesn't involve sneakers, comics, 80s/90s nostalgia, or da heights his opinion is irrelevant.

Da proof been in da pudding for years now.
