Pirates of the Carribbean Dead Men Tell No Tales

What a disappointment.

6 years for this?

Movie gets a very generous 3.5/5.

Villian was lackluster.

There were def. some cool moments for people who liked the franchise, but man I expected more.

Fans of #PiratesoftheCaribbean will not be disappointed. Pirates 5 is a very fun, action packed adventure w subtle nods to the ride itself.
Wish this was true.

Movie was ok coming from someone who hasn't been following the franchise

POTC 5 is completely skipable.. probably definitely better than part 4, maybe better than part 3 too

But it was kinda sad.. jack always played the fool to sucker people into his plans so you always got the "worst pirate..." then the "best pirate.."

This was just sad.. dude was the bumbling dude and if anything happened, it was by luck

Also can't believe this was under the Disney umbrella, the CG was just off

Double toasted guys were right on it, for those who have seen their review on it

Seeing this makes you appreciate what they are able to do with the FF franchise

Agreed.

I could barely understand what the villian was saying.

The film started so strong and ended strong imo. Everything in-between was subpar compared to the previous films.

I thought Sparrow might actually meet his end in this film, since dude had a personal vendetta towards him...guess not.

I stayed til the end credits and I'm assuming they're making a movie about Will's dad.

Personally, I loved POTC 1-3 and liked POTC 4.

I was

when the double toasted dudes pointed out that Salamanca is the good guy.

I root for Jack so much, I was blinded.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales, for the third straight time in the franchise's history, has sailed to the top of the Memorial Day weekend box office with a massive $77 million domestic opening. Overseas, it performed considerably better with a $208.4 million global launch ($67.8 million in China), bringing its total worldwide sum to an impressive $285.4 million.

Congrats to the potc 5 team. All this means too me is that potc 6 won't be lit. Smh

i gave up after paying to see the 3rd tranformers.. the 4th one was on one of my movie channels and i had it on in the background while i was doing some work and even that was too much

until michael bay is gone, i'm out

Michael Bay may have done too much damage for me to care about the Transformers. I think he set some what of a blueprint for people to follow when it comes time to make future transformer movies.

Damn. This is one of.my fav adventure series. Disappointed to hear it's meh.

Will still watch tho.

the ride is better than the series
been trash since after the first one
johnny depp is trash too
same character in every movie
they need to dump him a figure out a new story
matter of fact jerry bruckheimer is trash too

I guess I'm in the minority as to saying the 2nd one is my favorite one, just because I loved Davy Jones Character and the whole story with the flying dutchman, thought that was really cool and then the first is a close second. Hated the 3rd haven't seen the 4th and I'll see the matinee for this one.

I think I also like the 2nd one because I went to the midnight showing for it and the theater I was at basically showed the movie on every screen so once you bought admission they weren't even checking for tickets because people could go into any theater to watch at midnight. The best part is that EVERYONE dressed up as pirates. such a glorious night.

Dead Man's Chest is my fav. as well and I agree. I loved Dave Jones voice. He had way more emotion than Blackbeard/Salazar.

Dude looked HEATED whenever he was talking to Jack.

And I mean...the kracken. Come on...that was awesome.

Can this franchise be turned around or are people gonna lose interest?

Can't get down with yall comparing Pirates to Transformers.

At its core this is a pirates tale. That's been going on since what the 14th century? Since boats were a thing?

Transformers is about alien robots transforming in to other things and Bay has Bay'd it up to the max.

Don't really see how ppl are losing interest with its box office continuing to break records.

This age group on NT has lost interest but Pirates will probably always captivate the minds of preteens and young teens.

These pirate movies are bland and not interesting but the last transformer movie literally put me to sleep. Woke up and never tried to finish watching it.

They had a bomb trailer for the transformers movie that's about to come out. It won me over. Then I saw the trailer with the girl.

you mean the one where she talks about being brave etc and there's shots of various scenes from the movie?? I remember going to get soda and popcorn and coming back into the movie like "WTF is this??"
