what happened was when the time travelers went back in time to fix an apocalyptic disaster, in that alternate universe they must've had to hire Sinbad into a Genie movie to make things right...thus our subconscious still has that "memory" in the back of our minds.

Should've made more movies, but he said he wasn't about playing that Hollywood game. "Houseguest" was so funny because he hijacked the script during filming and Phil Hartman just went with it. He won that battle against the white writers...that one time lol
