FX 'Legion' | (Wednesday's @ 10PM)

FX And Marvel Officially Renew LEGION For A Second Season

The news was jointly announced FX's Presidents of Original Programming, Eric Schrier and Nick Grad:

“The first season of Legion was a stunning achievement,” said Schrier. “More than a new series, Legion is a wholly original take on the super hero genre. Our thanks to Noah Hawley for taking the creative risks and shattering expectations. It’s a privilege to work again with Noah, his producing partners, the outstanding cast and our partners at Marvel Television on another season of Legion.”

“We are thrilled there will be a new season of LEGION. Noah’s spectacular take on David Haller and all the other characters he brought to life makes us ache for more. We’re particularly proud of our partners at FX and the success we share on our first TV series together,” added Jeph Loeb, Executive Producer and Head of Marvel Television.

Theory:

Aubrey Plaza/the demon with yellow eyes is Charles Xaviers "sister" Casandra nova

Cassandra Nova is a ""mummudrai," a parasitic life form born bodiless on the astral plane."

"Legend says each of us faces our own personal mummudrai in the womb, shortly before birth - it is our first experience of the alien, the other, the different."

Or maybe The yellow eyed demon is Davids own mummudrai, she said she had been with him since the womb.

Thoughts?

it's been revealed who it is in an alternate promo for next weeks episode (which seems stupid-revealing it on a preview that is)

welp never mind...

I was hoping it was cassadra, the mummudrai is one of my favorite grant morrison high concept ideas.

I don't think it's bad to reveal in a promo, especially if it's something that's handled relatively early in the episode.

It's helpful to show that we're actually going to real answers next week (TBH this week felt filler-ish compared to the last few) and "Shadow King" doesn't mean anything to the majority of the audience.

Honestly this has probably been my favorite Comic to TV adaptation yet

Screw this show dude.

Wake me up when the Season is over.
I'm not watching this **** week to week.

I'm legit so irritated I almost went on IMDB and gave it a 0

The lady who plays Melanie said “There's a very interesting twist in literally the last seconds of episode 8.”

 People are gonna be pissed.

It's surprising that Reddit is honestly the only place where this show is generating a lot of discussion.

I couldn't imagine going into a Reddit thread about this show.

Real writers and producers on the show in there dropping spoilers passing them off as "new fresh theories" so they can get back pats.

People who aren't writers and producers on the Show trying to copy other Theroists and created their own theory that ends up with the Yello Eyed a Demon really being from Mars before getting stuck in Davids head......

No thank you

Now that I look at pics of who the yellow eyed demon is, I'm surprised none of our avid comic readers picked up on it. I would've never came up with that, but it seems obvious now.

Shadow King's look seems to vary greatly too so if anyone did think it they probably did a quick Google and had second thoughts lol

yeah this should've been sold to Netflix or Amazon or something.
I feel like every episode is the same, just told from a different perspective each time or something.

DejaVu almost.

The endings of the episodes usually leave me feeling pretty good about what is happening and what is going on but not this week, I feel like it's just trying real hard to say something and it's not saying anything.

Okay.....so what has happened so far this Season? F' word if I know.

I don't even know what is real and what is not.

Watching every episode in succession would help one keep a closer tab on this.

Right now, there are so many moving parts, so many scenarios, so many characters, so much and I have no clue why other than it looks pretty and sounds cool.

What a mess.

i love the show.
Show is greatness. Love it more ep by ep.

Already tight s2 is so far away.

That's pretty much the point of the show lol You're supposed to be as confused as David is
It's crazy to me that some don't get this.

It's purposely bizarre while maintaning the narrative.

I feel like some recognize the smart writing but want to be spoon fed the story and plot in the most basic way.

If you can't do it week to week then don't
