Have you met anyone famous? Who is nice? Who is a jerk?

I've met Ian Brown (Stone Roses) he was super cool - finished his set, got his tourbus keys and took us on for some 'cheese and biscuits'

then went to the afterparty with him and his crew. I don't know how big he is in the States but over here he's pretty famous.

Also met Pharrell and Shae from N*E*R*D when I was like 16 in Manchester - they say never meet your idols but this was surreal, ended up talking for about 10 minutes then they invited me on stage during the gig - only downside no Chad!

Have also met Mark Ronson - he's nice, chill guy

Back in the mid 90's all the Chicago teams athletes used to come to the riverboats in Joliet and I was a valet there.  MJ was surprisingly cool as a fan.  Used to shoot the **** with us after he parked his car all the time.  Pip was ok, didn't really say much.  Dennis Rodman is one of the five coolest celebrities Ive ever met.  In the early 2000's, I was a doorman at the only real urban(I.e black) clubs in Phoenix and got to meet all of the Phoenix athletes and a lot of artists.  Amare Stoudemire is a world class jerk.  I used to make him wait in line he was such a ***.  50 was mad cool and his security team was NO joke!  Cube was probably the coolest dude I met back then.  Darnell Dockett was another ***** of a dude, lol.  Mike Tyson was the cool as a fan but almost broke my hand when he shook it...

You know derrick from urban AZ?

only person i met that was somewhat stand offish was Dikembe Mutombo.

he was walking around the mall and i guess really didnt want to be bothered too much. cant blame him for that.

coolest people ive seen in person and interacted with would be Miami Heat Shaq and Bucky Lasek (pro-skater).

i have friends that have met Woody Harrelson. he ended up playing some game in a park with one group. another friend saw him at a club/bar and smoked a blunt with him.

Cant say I "know" him.  I know who he is.  Ive been out of the game for awhile.
we might have cross paths yo. First gig ever in phx was for derrivk at stoudamires Bouncing. Think 07. On my 1st shift Two knuckleheads would not leave after closing while in bathroom. Folded both of em dolo off disrespect and became derricks watcher during his big gigs. Homie used to carry a back pack/fanny pack at all times with racks in em to pay performers before they did their thing. Saw how Hollywood is hollyweird and said f that. And yes, Darnell dockett is an *******.

We just may have, fam.  I was the doorman at Next in 2006-2007.  Glad we agree on Dockett, lol.

Been hovering over this thread reading many of the posts. I've mentioned many of my encounters on NT. For those who may not know, I work for Delta's customer service and also with Department of Aviation part time. Was blessed with a cool little gig being at a young age so a lot of times I'm in weird situations all over the world's busiest airport, Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta airport. I also used to promote many of the clubs out here in Atlanta and met and became cool with many artists who were up and coming and many who are big in the industry now. From having conversations with Steve Javie about could Lebron been able to travel as much in the league in the 90's to flirting with Tinashe, smoking with the Migos, to being enlightened on the social climate of the African community as it pertains to a post-Obama America with Senator John Lewis and everywhere in between like Lady Gaga revealing herself to me after I had to escort her from one flight to the next and I wasn't sure why I was escorting this random person with big shades and a black wig. Just crazy, random, hilarious things with the celebs. They're all regular people like us.

How Matt Barnes got bodyguards and he looks for fights?

Ran into Killer Mike (Atlanta rapper, 1/2 of Run the Jewels) in a wing joint down in the city. I was with a group of people and we came to get wings after drinking at a day party. Gave him dap, said I was a fan, and kept it moving because I didn't want to embarrass myself (was a bit drunk). I respect his dedication to the black/Atlanta community and his music so I thought that was cool.

A few

I will say....Fat Trel is one of the coolest ***** out here. Real
Humble dude. Don't know if he qualifies as "famous"....but dude was cool.

Met Robin Williams in Vancouver in 05. I was in line at a coffee shop and I heard a familiar voice behind me. Turned around and had to do a double take. I asked him if he was on vacation and he said he was just filming (RV). Told him I grew up watching his films, said thanks, and snapped a pic.

Quentin Tarantino - met him at hotel bar in Santa Barbara a few years ago. I saw him walking out and I stood up and shook his hand. I was legit star struck bc dude is one of my heroes. No pic though.

Proof at the Up In Smoke Tour back in 2000. Nobody recognized him but I was a huge Eminem fan and knew about him (and D12).

Murs came into my shop back in SD during Comic Con. He was and still is the coolest MC ever. We legit chopped it up for 20 mins about shoes, comics, movies, Entourage, UFC.

JJ was my guy!!  If you remember the short, swole up light skinned dude that was running the door, that was me!  When Next closed, it hurt my soul.  PHX just wasn't the same.

Have met quite a few Celebs but he nicest by far was Sway.

Dude was so laid back and happy. Really had me feeling like we were friends while we were chopping it up.

Can't really think of any.

Only one I can think of is Embiid, and I only remember cause it was within the last year lol. He was at xfinity after the drake/future concert last summer. Dapped him up and asked for a pic but he was like nah

Co-sign.

Ran into him and a young joint he was with at Flight Club, and did a double-take before asking my friends "Is that Sway?"

He heard me, we chopped it up for a cool 5-10, he invited us to RapFix (never ended up going because the timing always conflicted with somebody's class), my friends got pictures with him, and I almost became his 'sneaker buyer' for lack of better term because we all agreed that the prices in that store were wild.

The first pair he wanted me to find were some Concord XIs for that woman, but I never came across any for much less than FC had them for, so nothing came of it. Still have his email actually, now that I think of it.

Ran into Swizz Beats and someone else I can't remember that same day. Didn't even have the desire to chop it up with Swizz after my friends followed this ___ into the bathroom like some lames.

I went to elementary school with Tia and Tamera Mowry, one of them was down to earth, the other was really snotty, their mom was a *****. I forgot about it because it was so damned long ago.

Alec Baldwin was extra sarcastic. That dry sarcasm too
Amy Ryan was with her newborn and husband
Amber rose during the Kanye years. She was baddddd. What she picked up tho :x saw her again later at the restaurant next door
