Official Nike HyperDunk Thread... Kobe PEs(away and home) now available.

Okay, I'm mad.
The box is DESTROYED. It honestly wouldn't surprise me if there were glass shards in the shoes. I haven't inspected it any further than just crackingopen the shipping box.

WOW?!?! kb24.com is really stupid if they can't afford to put bubble wrap or protection on the glass case. That sucks man. I would be hella pissed.

kb24.com didn't do the shipping on these. They have another company doing the shipping for them. Eric from kb24.com said the shoes were shipped directly tothe 3rd party shipper straight from Nike. KB24.com didn't even see these shoes.

Yeah i'm pissed. No doubt. With the limited nature of these, I'm very anxious and interested to see how it gets remedied. I also seriously doubtit's an isolated incident.

That's cool about the McFly's. I'm not personally interested in them, but I can definitely appreciate...

I called KB24.com and Eric said at least 3 people so far has called him with this problem. He told me he called Nike to see if they can get somereplacement glass boxes. If they cant, he said he will think of something to resolve this problem.

those olympics BP made are amazing. if nike was smart at all they would release a pair with colorblocking like that

on another note, i'm very skeptical of the lunar foam. i'm afraid that the protective unit they put the foam in will be so thick and stiff that it willnegate the lunar foam completely. if nike had just stuck with zoom air in the forefoot then this would be an easy decision for me, but right now i'd rathertry them on first

Damn, I'm getting kinda nervous. Mine are scheduled to arrive tomorrow. I don't want a busted case.

Unless Nike had a few extra cases made, already, I highly doubt they'll be making any more. The production cost on roughly 50 of these has got to be huge.I wouldn't be surprised if it was upwards of $100 a piece with such a limited run.

It could be a while until they're all delivered (east coast - any ETAs?), but we probably won't see a resolution until they know exactly what theextent of the damage is, but it should be "interesting".

Standing by and ready to destroy them on the court...

I doubt its $100 each. This this is probably made in China which Nike has an huge account. The box itself is flexi glass. A high school shop student canprobably make that box. Its basically 4 8x11(estimate) flexi glass glued together. The cover is what makes the box. That cover is probably 10-11 pounds andwell made.

If I didn't get these from KB24.com and looking on ebay or something, I wouldn't really care a lot about the box. Id care more about the Cover'cause it has all the info's or what not.

I wasn't making any factual claims - just speculation. No matter how huge an account is or where something is being produced, the more limited thequantities, the higher production costs are. How high? I'd guess high enough that they won't be making any more. Whatever shows up damaged... theshoes, the case (box/cover/whatever)... should be replaced. It would be nice if they upheld the integrity of this as a set since that's how it was sold(and how it is valued by some), but we'll see...
