Here it isAnyone gonna post Todd McShay's Mock Draft 3.0????
Analysis: I know that the idea of drafting a wide receiver in the first round brings back a lot of bad memories for Lions fans, but I really think that Detroit needs to add a guy who can take advantage of 1-on-1 coverage opposite Calvin Johnson and create big plays, and that's Evans. He is one of the best receivers at coming down with 50-50 balls that I've ever evaluated, and he's the most accomplished downfield receiving threat in this class. UNC tight end Eric Ebron would be another option here. Given the depth of the cornerback class, I think the Lions can wait to add a good one.
Can't remember where I read it, but supposedly a close Texans' insider says that the team favors Bortles over any other QB.
they could wait on a WR and they already have a TE for cheap from last years in Fauria or just resign pettigrew. they better go OL or CBAnalysis: I know that the idea of drafting a wide receiver in the first round brings back a lot of bad memories for Lions fans, but I really think that Detroit needs to add a guy who can take advantage of 1-on-1 coverage opposite Calvin Johnson and create big plays, and that's Evans. This is stupid. WR is the deepest part of this draft, and he has the Lions taking ANOTHER one, then points out the "depth" of CB?
That's a stupid way to look at it. They could take a better Corner at 10, and get Brandon Coleman in Rd 2 and be far better off than Evans + lesser Corner.
****, Ebron would be even better pull for Detroit than Evans. How many Stafford jump balls do they want him to throw per game?????
Bortles :x
Be prepared for a trade up to secure Sammy. As high as #2 with STL as the trade partner. The Lions have one of the best young olines in football.
Why do we need a lineman?
Rookie cornerbacks typically take 2 or 3 years to not be toast.
This franchise does not have 2 or 3 years to wait for a rookie corner to not be food.
Either a safety or wide receiver should be the only consideration at 10.

Detroit needs to give Oakland a call for Watkins. Raiders would be happy to trade back.
So you think trading Nick Fairley and the tenth overall pick for Oakland's fifth overall pick is a fair deal?

We'll give you Nick Fairley but we ain't giving you picks.
In Oakland's position, I would accept with an additional mid-round pick. You're essentially receiving #10, a former #13, and let's say R4 selection for #5. Unless you're married to the idea of Sammy, not a bad haul for McKenzie. So you think trading Nick Fairley and the tenth overall pick for Oakland's fifth overall pick is a fair deal?
Like the picks for the Vikes & Cards
