2016 OFFICIAL YANKEES SEASON THREAD... THANK YOU A-ROD

I definitely did.

Outside of our big 3, the rest of our bullpen is trash. Goody, Shreve and Kirby. ****** trash.

Been telling y'all Beltran and Didi were solid. Just had some cold streaks. .

I was the first person on the Didi train. A year or two before we got him, I said we should trade for him.

Was also one of the first on the Dellin train after it fell apart for him and he looked like he wasn't going to make it when he failed as a starter in the minors.

That might be true, I was a fan once he was here. Knew he would be a great player for us.

HUGE RBI hit for Alex. Nova pitched great, sucks he ran out of gas like that.

Romine probably broke something or split his hand open.

I can't stress how immensely I hate listening to Sterling and Waldman on the radio. It's horrible.

Napped though that entire rain delay :pimp: let's get these 5 outs and head out of Baltimore on a high note.

This is why I've never been a big Chapman fan. He only has two pitches. I know they're tough to hit but it makes it easier for batters to predict the pitch. It's just a ***** catching up to a 99 or 102 MPH pitch but it happens. Gave up two hits to two bums. I never feel safe when he's pitching.

Time to start unloading some players.. This season is a wash, and should look to how to contend in 2017.

Guys who can/should stay or we have no choice....
Tanaka
Eovaldi
CC
Nova
Betances
Miller
Chapman
McCann
Romine
Teixeira (have no choice)
Castro
Gregorius
Headley
A-Rod (have no choice)
Ellsbury

But Pineda, Gardner, Beltran, Refsnyder, Hicks can all and should all be traded.
Don't mind if Beltran wasn't traded, but might as well see if you can find a contender for him. Refsnyder has been good, but package him for something better.

Also with the exception of Bird, Severino, Judge, Kaprielian, the entire farm system should be on the block.

^^Agree with making moves but the season is a "wash" I'm not on board with. Nobody is running away with the division.. its a lil over a month till All-star break.. the division still can be had. If history told us anything bmore will choke after the break and the sux will let it slip. A few good moves could turn into a good month and boom back on top. I'm just not sold on the division as long as we're not in last it's still a fight in my eyes.

I hear ya. I don't want to write them off just yet because it is still only June, but with the way the offense works in spurts, it's hard to imagine them ever finding themselves with lengthy win streaks/series wins.

I think I'm on board with blowing it up.

I agree with SpacelyPocktz SpacelyPocktz to a certain extent but what's our ceiling with this current roster? Playing in the wild card game? Try to trade Gardner, Headley, one of Betances/Miller/Chapman & wait for Mateo, Sanchez, Judge, Sanchez to be ready.

Teix & Beltran coming off the payroll this winter will give us some money to spend but the FA class is really weak. I really don't like putting all our eggs in the Bryce Harper basket but that's what happening.

To much season left brotha. You're right tho but give the full picture only 6.5 out of first in the division

I completely agree ..  Just my opinion that some fans just don't have patients and just call the season in June... if it was late Aug I wouldn't disagree so much

When it comes to blowing it up, trading any of Betances / Miller & Chapman is probably the worst idea. Even if they have great value. We should even be doubling down, and re-signing Chapman long term.

Why?

Investing $30mil on Miller, Betances & Chapman over the next 3-4 years after this one, is better and more likely to make a run for a World Series than investing $18mil on Chapman & Betances, then having to spend $4-5mil on a decent to good bullpen guy to fill in. And still likely having to spend a few more million on a lefty specialist.

So $30mil on Miller - Betances & Chapman, and needing to get two cheap plug in options that only have to be able to tie their shoes
-vs-
$25mil on Chapman & Betances, an okay 7th inning guy, and an okay lefty specialist

Unless you're offering up a MVP Caliber player to us in some package that includes one of those 3, it's a hard no on trading the Bullpen

I don't disagree with making moves.. WE need some O without a doubt .. I'm just not keen of calling it in early June.... Everyone starts the post 0-0 anything could happen

HOW IS ELLSBURY OUT!!!

HOW

edit:

He would've been on 3rd with Gardner's groundout to the right side. Beltran's single would've drove him in.

**** that man. Wasn't even close.
