Bachelor Pad.

Again, i'm trying to get suggestions on whether to get shutters or regular curtains?

Curtains I think would be ideal. especially with the 4 windows in the last pic becoming 1, it would make sense to have 1 railing across.

you also appear to have taller than average windows, which I think favors curtains over plantation shutters.

I know a few people, including my brother, who love this IKEA entertainment unit.

It's good quality too, by IKEA standards at least

Not really into those type of entertainment centers, since I will be upgrading my TV to a bigger size.

Great spot Hawaii. Looks dope. Sq? Bedrooms? Looks real clean.

3100sqft. 3br + Loft 3 baths

Sounds like a plan my girl has. :smokin

I don't know what happen to my pics that were posted earlier, but whatever here it is again.

My girl has a plan to break down those 4 windows and making it one giant view window (her dad is a glacier, so he can do it no problems)

Also what are some good quality entertainment centers?

Target and Walmart have really good **** for cheap. Don't think that just because it's those stores it's crap. It's better than IKEA.

To whoever posted that ugly *** entertainment center from there... I really hope you didn't buy that.

It's just two bookshelves ($40 each) and two pieces cabinets ($35) and a small dresser style entertainment system ($40).

You see what IKEA did there  guys wtf do you guys not know about Ikea Hacks?

Wes, maybe remove the TV from your bedroom? Move the chest to the other side of the room and put a reading chair and lamp in that space instead.

Went to Target and Wal-Mart the other day, didn't find anything appealing.

Might have to hit up RC Willey again... **** they just so damn expensive! :smh:

I think I want to keep the tv in my bedroom though.

Just about done with my bedroom going to add something to hide the wires and also looking for some large canvas paintings for the wall but this is what's there now

Try not angling your dresser...or go out and buy a hemnes 8 drawer and mount the t.v. over it. (GET A BIGGER TV)

There are a few things I'd do to your room, Wes.

1. Get different night stands.
2. Get rid of the TV stand and TV. Put a desk or something else in it's place.
3. Get a bench.
4. Get a credenza or something similar.

No need for a desk in my bedroom because I have an office. Had a bench at the foot of the bed but took up too much space. Why would I have a credenza in a bedroom? I'm getting one for my dining room, never seen anyone but it in a bedroom.

Wes,

That wall is too big for your current stand and TV setup. I think you should get a dresser from Ikea and put the TV on the corner and mix items on the top. Other than that I think nice rugs for each side of the bed would be dope. I found some really nice suggestions from Apartment Therapy. Your spot need a little personality.

Yeah already planning on getting a 60" to replace the 46" in the living room then putting that in my bedroom with a new stand. Not in a real rush to do that though. Main thing I want to do for my bedroom right now is add more color to it. Been looking for paintings and considering a rug to go under the foot of the the bed.

Not feeling the nightstands? I really like them and how the leather goes well with the leather on the headboard. One of my friends didn't like them either until she saw them in person. I think they look great

Here's my current plac; I'm moving in August becuase the rent is increasing an absurd amount.

What's the deal with the set up under the picture (w/the blue pillows)? Are those chairs or crates set up like chairs?
Your place has a lot of character. Nice.

I'd get rid of the leather nightstands all together.

You can add color by changing your bedding as well. I'd probably opt out of the full length mirror and get one for the wall. In place add a chair with a side table in its place.
The room looks huge but you seem to just be utilizing the corners.

Thanks, man. The chairs are indeed made from pallets. I live in an industrial loft, so the pallets mix well with the exposed pipes and wood beams. I went to a place that sells reclaimed wood, told them what size I wanted, and they made the pallets. I then spent the weekend making the cushions (you can get really thick foam board + stuffing from any home store); I hadn't sewed anything since middle school, but the cushions and pillows turned out great. I also did some other stuff that's not in the picture, but I'll be sure to take pictures of individual things when I move!
Made me realize my spot is big enough for a pool table.
Yeah, man, it's not a full-sized slate pool table unfortunately, but it was given to me for free so I'm not complaining.
I had to do a double take. Those are pallets.

@ using pallets as chairs. Nice.
Thanks, man. . .I'm going to have to get rid of them when I move to my new spot because it doesn't exactly fit the decor, but I do love them.
