Yo wassup everyone. Just got back from my Hawaii vacation and it was easily the best trip ever.
From the food, beaches, and weather it was all amazing.
My parents planned out the trip...
4 nights in Maui, 4 nights in Oahu, and lastly 3 nights in Big Island (Kona.)
MAUI
From the first night we arrived. NOTHING in the world will beat the sunset in Hawaii. So beautiful.
The next day we woke up early in the morning to go to the "Road To Hana Tour". And that sick. They take you to a nice breakfast place in the morning and make many stops such as: a black sand beach, lava tunnel, and many more cool spots. I know a lot of people recommend to drive on your own but I think it's best to actually take a formal tour because the drivers really drop some good knowledge and you get to see more through the elevated vehicle.
Next day we hit the beach and just chilled:
We ended up staying up the whole night because at 2 AM a bus picked us up to take us to watch the sunrise over the Haleakala mountain. Let me tell y'all... THIS WAS THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE TRIP. Watching the sunrise above the cloud had to be the most beautiful thing from this whole trip.
After the sun completely rose:
*Food recommendation*: Fred's Mexican Cafe
OAHU
Oahu was... different. Just like any other major city. Was a lot of fun though, but was just a big transition from Maui which was a little more quiet.
First day we just chilled and hit the beach.
Next day we did a tour of Pearl Harbor and the Polynesian Cultural Center.
Pearl Harbor definitely made me feel super patriotic. Was very touching.
After Pearl Harbor we went to the Polynesian cultural center where we first ate. (Food was bomb too). I'm vegetarian and they had solid options. The Polynesian Cultural Center was great and I honestly wish we stayed a full day. Was cool to see all the history behind the all the cultures that make up Hawaii.
On the way home from the tour we also stopped by the Dole plantation which had the best Pineapple ice cream in the world. (Sorry no pics because I ate it too fast
).
The next day we hit the beach.
On the day before we left we hit Hanauma Bay for snorkeling (world famous spot for snorkeling).
Another big highlight of the trip right here. The reefs were beautiful as the fish swarmed all around you. Was totally worth it.
BIG ISLAND (KONA)
Kona was also very beautiful... filled with mountains and volcanoes.
The day after we got there we drove 2 hours out to Hilo to go on a helicopter tour. This was sick... Being able to see the top of the volcano and all the waterfalls was amazing.
On the last night we decided to save it for the end... The Luau. We went with the Island Breeze Luau. This was also nice, really looks like how Hawaii is depicted on TV.
Food Recommendation: Kamana (Indian Food) and Laverne's Sports Bar.
I know this was super long. Not sure if anyone is actually gonna read this but if you do then thanks lol. This was honestly the best vacation I've ever been on. Just wanted to post the pics somewhere. I didn't say everything because I didn't want to make the thread even longer than it already is. But if you're planning a trip to Hawaii, feel free to hmu. Thanks guys.
