I'm from Newport, Va about to be at bowie in a week as a freshman.

Just wondering is there any NT fam out there. . .

I live like 5 minutes from Bowie State but don't attend there. Its an ok school but you got to now the area to have fun.

I had fun my freshman year but it went downhill after that

As far as campus life goes it will be dead on the weekends after the first few weeks

Bowie is as good as you make it but, as I get older I'm starting to realize how horrible my university is when it comes to things

IMO...Get good grades then transfer while you can

Yeah I always heard it was dead on the weekends. I got a friend who goes there and in his 3 years of going there ive never visited cuz he saidhe goes home alot

The security guards at Haley Hall NEVER remember faces.... if you tell them you left your id upstairs when you're really going up there to smash,they'll let you up 95% of the time....

I'm in there... second semester for me starting the 31st (skipped last fall).

As previously said, it's the best that you make it.

I choose not to dorm cuz it really is dead over there.

All we got forreal is Bowie Town Center and Arundel Mills if you're willing to make the drive.

Get in, classes, get out... & hit up any worthy parties.





But what do I know? I've only been there a semester... lol

This is my first year too, but i'm a transfer student from PG, so I'll be a jr.

But after dealing with my advisers and stuff so far, i'm starting to think I should've gone to Morgan

BSU is not where you wanna be...
I was there for my freshman year last year.
Campus is horrible..No parties/good events/excitement
Is easy to get good grades..Like high school all over again


My Advice:
Get you GPA up and transfer (thats what i did...i'm at WVU now)
Be careful alot of random (up to no good) people are always on campus....(ex. there was a shooting at homecoming last year)
For any fun hit up the clubs in DC.....FUR, IBIZA, LOVE

Bout 2 be a senior at BSU this year....there will be ALOT more events this coming up. But like these dudes said, it is what you make it, get involved andyou'll have alot of fun. Theres alot of chicks around but chances are, she's probably been touched by me or my frat bruhs, thats just the way it is.Make sure yall dudes come out to the block show on the 4th from 7-10 on the Wiseman patio, it's always a good time.
