LOL, no.
Remember that video of Gilbert Arenas shooting one-handed set shot threes in practice? He made about 75% of them. These guys are that good. You don't think a player of Bird's caliber, shooting in rhythm alone on a court, couldn't hit 100 shots in a row? Hell, I'm good for 8/10 in a gym when I'm shooting alone.Originally Posted by DCAllAmerican

This lebron not being clutch thing is becoming flat-out silly. He had one bad series. Take away that, and he's money. He has a top 5 highest scoring average in the history of the nba playoffs, and that includes a legendary performance in detroit, and has actually took his team all the way to the championship.Originally Posted by Mez 0ne

Prove me wrong, Knicks fan. I know stats don't mean much to y'all, considering the incessant drooling over the Melo trade but go ahead and try to show me how LeBron has had a consistent history of shrinking in the playoffs. He has had one very bad series in his entire career. Again, one very bad series. Did you know Larry Bird was knocked out of the first round one year? He played terrible. When has that happened to Lebron? Revisionism persists.
Bird was a closer, Lebron is not.

No question he's "talented" but homey needs to worry less about where he's going to VIP after the game & work on his game. Like I said, homey doesn't have a consistent midrange J or post game. Less VIP, more work.

Lebron fans always look at the overall numbers but the reason he gets criticized is because of how he comes up short during crunch time, especially this year in the Finals and in the Finals prior. Guy will get you numbers but Wade is the closer of the team and that will be the only way they win a chip.

He looked GREAT Vs the Bulls and Celtics (for a change, and he got praise for it), I'm talking about Finals games when it matters most....what has he done in the Finals in his career thus far when it matters most?Originally Posted by HankMoody

You can't prove me wrongLeBron closed against the Celts and Bulls LAST YEAR. He consistently closed out in previous years. Against the Wizards, game winnong shots agains tthe Magic, against the Pistons, going blow for blow against Pierce... Where was Wade? You are a revisionist and have no clue what you are talking about. Look at the history of his career.

19.5 PPG on 41.7 FG percentage in the Finals for his career thus far, always shooting those dumb fadeaway three pointers for a "game winner" as if its a high percentage shot and looks like a deer in headlights.

For a change? That's how he's always played.Look at his career. You can fault him for his Finals play last year. There is no way I can defend that. But that doesn't mean I will forget what he has done. Just like I won't forget that Larry Bird played terribly one year and was bounced from the first round. There are very few players with spotless resumes a la MJ and possibly Magic. To say LeBron shrinks in the playoffs is being historically inaccurate. There is no other way to put it. This is what terrible sports fan do. They pick and choose what to highlight. This has been toxic to every discussion on this board.

So how you gonna attack me for making my comment based on my take on Bird, when you practically did the same thing?!!
.
I'm done with this thread. And I'm avoiding any sports thread with MonStar debating in it..
We must've got our wires crossed. I thought you meant you only seen brief highlights and videos at first. I didn't think you meant "i didn't see him live". I wouldn't knock you for being born late.
We cool
My bad. I apologize, I guess I took things out of context. However, I don't change my view.Originally Posted by DCAllAmerican

Not one soul here has said he would be a scrub.
