actually when i first bought my xbox arcade model i was playing halo 3 fresh out the box and 20 minutes later my screen froze and i turned it off and on andthe red lights came on, took it RIGHT back, lol. then about a year later the system i have no crapped out on me, this time i just took it to one of thosetechnician groups that put ads on craigslist saying they fix the red rings, charged me 40 bucks, got it back, 3 months later havent had a problem after that

1 - aint never heard of 4 flashing lights, guess u can just add that one to the list

2 - chances are the new one will start acting up on u, especially if the one they send isnt your system, but im pretty sure it will be yours, im sure u cansend it back cause it seems like theres some sort of rolling warranty with 360, almost like 3 years is just an estimate

What does 'sales' have to do with gaming experience? You're all over the place fam. The average gamer and even some hardcore gamerscan careless about 'sales' of there console, they just want a next gen gaming experience, Xbox 360 fails on that due to RRoD.

I have a 360, it RR on me 5 months after I bought it, I got it fix, took 4 weeks but every time I turn it on, it sounds like a underground mining field x LAX.I'm scared as *$$# to play it sometimes. My homies 360 RR on him too, he didnt even want to deal with the warranty, he just bought a new one, like A LOT missinformed people do, those add to sales.

Also Sony has not failed this generation, they have sold more than 18million consoles in 2 years, more than Xbox 360 has in it's first 2 years. They leadin Europe and in Japan. They only trail in the U.S. but are closing the gap, once down 8 million, they are now down 5 million. Nobody said or thought PS3 willtrample 360 with a year lead and at 599.99 a pop, such an outlandish though but more than PS3 fanboy want to see Sony rise to the top again, 360ers want tosee them fail, on some bitter sweet tears...

Dudes need to stop trying to get people to buy a PS3. I got the RROD last week and buying a PS3 will never cross my mind, u know why, because i am not going toshell out $400+ for a video game system plus $60+ for every game. I have already purchased like 10 games ($60 each) including GOW2 and COD4 for my 360 and imnot just going to give them up like that.

And for the dude talking about the PS3 2009 line-up, i am not impressed at all. The only game coming out for PS3 that is even good is Killzone 2. Gran Turismo5, pshh that series has been dead. Nobody cares about real racing simulation games anymore, that *#*# is boring. Other games like Street Fighter IV, FinalFantasy XIII, and Tekken are coming out for 360 also. I am a fan of the GOW series but u forget how short the games are. U be foolish and buy GOW3 for $60 andbeat it in 2 days, it doesnt sound worth it anymore does it. In this new age where playing games on-line is all the rage. Single-player games like God of Warthat reigned over the previous generation consoles are obsolete.

At the end of the day Xbox 360 = PlayStation 3, they both have their ups and downs, they both have equal game-play experiences, get over it.

it took mine 2 weeks to get back, then they claim to have repaired it. But got rings again after 1 day.

Sent it out again, and got it back after another 2 weeks, and havent had a problem for 7 months after I got it back again. Got 2 one month subscriptions fromthem too so didnt waste my xbox gold

I haven't turned on my 360 in months, after the rings and the multiple repairs I lost patience with it. I've been meaning to purchase a PS3 to replace the 360 however I hear that the online play lags a lot... is that true? Hell, Id rather play a lagging game of 2k9 than waste $50 bucks a year on a membership I rarely use due to defects.
