If God doesn't Exist Explain To Me How This Happened By Chance

Ya'll focus on God as a creator instead of as an idea and how it relates to each persons personal life.

Alas, that is why any argument in religion comes to a stalemate, somehow God as the creator is the only thing that defines "God."

I think that's the case to the vast majority. Most lie on either side of there being a God (as the creator) or not.

then what defines god? what is there to prove that god is not only a fragment of your imagination? for people who are scared that you might go to hell, why dont you guys stop eating beef while you're at it? what if after an entire life of following christian rules you die and find out that it was actually a hindu god(s) and go to hell for eating beef?

What if you are right (which is something that you can't prove any more than I can)? What does that matter for my faith? If I pray to God when I am down and out and that scripture that I heard last week helped me out than whats wrong with that? Why do you insist on trying to destroy my personal faith? Does it hurt you?

N don't give me that  "Religion does only bad in the world" because Religion has also done God in the world.

Whether he is real or not, he is a very real Idea in the hearts of millions.

Religion has been the catalyst of money, power and murder since it's inception. Religion is for sheep who can't function without gold ole pastor giving the same ole recycled gibberish that resonates with people...much like fables do children.

Christians hate Muslims...but preach no judgement. Religious folks are quick to chastise Muslims but why? Why is christianity, catholicism, etc.etc. judge, persecute not just a religion but a whole race of people who just so happen to have been born into that religion.

God should be personal, with no religion involved. God should be who or whatever you choose him/her to be. You shouldn't have to line the pockets of preachers nor allow your kids to be molested behind a "RELIGION"

You sound angry at Religion. If this is all you get from religion than I can't respect your opinion. It's as if the whole organization is boiled down to a few Bill Maher talking points. Ever been to a church and saw genuine faith? People hate religion and in turn call the people "Sheep," honestly, you are just as much of a sheep. I can't imagine millions of lives around the country can be boiled down to a word. But thats the issue, we are so angry at something, so afraid to think for ourselves and form our own opinions, we  just repeat what we hear.

I was raised catholic and sent to catholic school my whole life. It's all a sham. How can I have "faith" in something that covers up molestation? 

My girl was raised christian her whole life and a few years ago, she smartened up and left the church. Her mom is a pastor and spends every waking minute for the church. She rather be broke than not tithe. Her same god sisters and brothers shunned her to hell cause she left the church and is married to a mexican devil from L.A.

I can think on my own. Religion is idiotic. History shows us just how idiotic religion is with all the blood shed in the name of christ, the lord. blah blah.

Sheep go to church. Everything needs to be prayed on. Should I cross the street now? "Let me pray on that"

Religious single women in L.A. fall into 2 categories. 1. Sinlge moms who are born again. or 2. Can't find a gooooood, god fearing man. These women to busy laying up under their religious GOD that they have no choice but to play christian and show face for church in hopes to find the aforementioned male.

Religious women in a relationship are bitter, judgmental women who have a closet full of secrets to remain holy in the eyes of their congregation. I know 3 holier than thou women who praise the lord everyday and are married to gay men.

Preachers are money hungry, womanizers.

Catholic priests are pedophiles (due to their vow of celibacy because it's only ok for GOD to go around and impregnate women) the very thing that brought us Christ is not allowed for those who spread his rhetoric?

Believe in GOD....Leave structured religion out of it.
 
Because people are angry. At themselves, at they're childhood, at every belief they had that was shattered. I'm not angry. I'm a man at peace, a man that understands life and understands that some people love religion because its their only chance to be accepted, they're only chance to feel like they're wanted. Sure there are other outlets, but the Church is their outlet. I refuse to condemn someone for what makes them happy, I'm no saint, nothing I do is perfect, but I do things that others disagree with because it makes me feel good, it makes me happy. How am I to trounce on someone else's happiness and peace? The religion of Nike, drugs, women, books and a whole bunch of things which eat my money, my time, my effort make me happy, and I do them gladly. So let me do me, let them do them. Our paths will cross, our ideals will clash, but my love for the next person, for those who I care about outweigh the petty. Idk about your life but God and super religious people are a big part of mine.

If you don't believe in God then don't believe in God. But not believing in God because of the crimes committed in his name is a poor reason. America for example has wronged other nations and done things that were morally questionable but that wouldn't mean democracy is evil. It's the practitioners who pervert ideals to further their own agenda's.

Ok, I hear what you're saying and all that but what if it's not so much wanting to condemn you but more like wanting to just grab you by the shoulders and shake and say wake the **** up man!?

If someone lied to you but the lie made you feel good and helped you deal with a situation wouldn't you still want to know you were lied to?

When you say trial and error you fail to realize that this may've been trial and error over millions of years. Eventually the right conditions will be met and life will form.
 
I stand on the rain drop, sand grain theory... We all know how small and minuscule earth is to the cosmos, we're pretty much equal to cells, atoms, molecules under our microscope or even smaller. I know that we are significant because we live on this plain, but IMO we are insignificant in the grand scheme of things. Not important enough to have a God.
 
And with what baseless logic do christians use to justify their insistence that mankind is 6000 years old. Fossil records indicate 195,000 years old. I understand carbon dating has it's flaws. It is only accurate to within 3,000 years.

that figure can be written up to the jews (Judaism is approx. 5-6 thousand years old). The christians simply interpolated it into their texts. So why do they defend every detail even though its been scientifically established that humans have existed for much longer? Well if one "fact" is wrong, then what else isn't true? Then the whole ideology could break down and you will have satanist heathens fapping to porn and smoking pot. It's about fear of change and self preservation just like with any man-made institution.

just wanna give my input on this topic. Growing up a catholic and going to church every Sunday as a kid I believed it to the full extent. But as you get older you learn more and more and then all of a sudden everything just seemed so unrealistic .Where is the Ten Commandments ? Why is there no evidence of Jesus existence ? where is the holy grail ? Etc..  there has not been 1 single evidence any of this existed why ? Just a tiny bit was all I and we have  all been asking for. That's when I told my parents and family I respect your religion but I will not waste my time on something that's non existent . 

I mean seriously did Mary just get pregnant by some peasant and didn't wanna tell Joseph the truth ?

where are the damn dinosaurs who are real and proof of existence in the bible? 

The whole thing just seems like a  big science fiction movie 

I never understood when people win or do something big they always wanna thank god. Wtf you did that all on your own no god was by your side giving you answers or what not 

I wanna be a believer I guess you can say this is my cry for help to bring me back to my religion
