Anybody know which service has the full Married with Children series? I just feel like binge watching it and they don't have it on Netflix
Honestly cutting cable doesnt make monetary sense to me. If yo do the math you're going to still need high speed internet access. You can get cable for like 30+40 a month. If you negotiate with your cable company you can get a lot of stuff waived. for 122 before taxes I get digital cable, whole house dvr, 2 boxes, 45 mbit internet, hbo, showtime, starz, encore, cinnemax. If i got just cable alone Id probably be paying 60-70 a month. Add the value of having on demand access its worth having and cutting other spending than not having.
I pay comcast 70 bucks for 50mbs and I pay 7 bucks for Netflix so thats 77 a month.
The MIN comcast cable plan that isnt basic cable that I can get free would be like 129 for 12 months then go up to 160+ THEN you have to pay taxes plus a fee for a box in each room. I`m saying 50-90 bucks cutting the cord, if I paid for cable I`d be paying almost 200 bucks to watch 3-5 channels 2-3 times a week.
Try calling them and talking it out. With my new service I was able to get out of a lot of fees by just talking, they were literally giving a lot of stuff away for free. Comcast is a bad customer service company but see what happens when you call retention. Also after the 12 months you can do the same thing again and threaten. From AT&T i got my box fees waived (8 per box), install fee waived (around ~200) and all other equipment fees waived. Also they stacked a whole bunch of promos on it. I think its easier to get this done with AT&T because they outsource some of their sales like they do wireless but a call to retention to most services usually can get you something. Im getting a lot of savings from getting the premium channels for free and I doubt comcast would offer that but see if uverse is offered in your area and shop around you never know what deal you can get.
I tried Hulu Plus on 3 separate occasions and always canceled it.
I just don't get how you pay a monthly subscription and have commercials but yet still not have complete seasons of popular shows.
here's the thing, even if the were offering me 200 channels for 20 bucks a month, why would I pay 20 bucks a month to watch 5 channels, when I can see the same content free online with internet I`m already paying for?
You have to figure HBO alone is valued at 20 a month alone. that + hbogo access is a value. Same with subscribing to ESPN, with watchespn access that has to have some type of value. I have netflix and its more of a rip off than cable imo. You could just max out your internet and download everything but legally that wouldnt be allowed. I think there is some value for live content over ondemand content like hulu and netflix. They dont really offer anything that you cant get with the internet, with cable you have access to many live streams at peak quality + the on demand catalog of current shows.
If you could get cable + HBO, Showtime, Starz + On Demand of your cable shows for 30 a month wouldnt that be a better deal that netflix + hulu plus?
