That's good... trust, apply for every department if you have to.
I don't know how it is where you're at. But here in Vegas, it's pretty intense. You have to go through/pass written, then physical, then oral board, then psych eval test, followed by polygraph, then a thorough back ground investigation, then medical exam... keep in mind, it goes by ranking. If you aren't rank high enough, you don't make it, even if you passed everything.
Which is why I suggest to apply for every department!
Yea most definitely. I'm out in Maryland but the process sounds basically the same as you described. With the test I was originally supposed to take today, I know I would've passed, but like you said, my rank relative to the other applicants probably wouldn't have been as high as I would've liked. I took the county sheriff test out here a couple years back, && I passed both but apparently faltered in some part of the process as they never hit me back. But I'm back to hitting the gym consistently now so I'll be ready for both agility tests when they come around.
Got an interview with the police Tuesday anybody got any tips as far as what to expect for their hiring process?
Congrats dude. From what I know and have heard in the past, I'd expect a highly detailed background check/polygraph test, as well as an evaluation for the department to see how much of a fit you'd be on the force. Sounds like you're on the right track though...best of luck my man.
How was the written/physical out where you are?
