Yeah man. It'll be straight. They want me going all over town for my probation but then they don't want me to have a license so I can't go to the damn classes. Now I can get my license back but have a warrant so I can't get my license until I get rid of my warrant. **** is a stupid cycle. Oh well I'm gonna walk out of jail get picked up and go straight to the DMV.
Yeeup. They wanted me in full blown treatment and I told them straight up I can't do 20 hours a week. They didn't care. I quit drinking a grip ago for personal reasons. I'm just gonna tell them to slap an alcohol bracelet onme and let me go please. I don't have time for all that.
I don't need to do that crap I got my DUI well over a year ago and it was my first. My good friend had a breathalyzer attached to car's computer. Won't start unless he blows a 0.00
Nah dude. I talked to one. He knew the prosecutor and told me don't even waste my money because he doesn't budge for anyone. Lawyer or not he was giving us all the same ****. Which he did. They was like 5 people in there before me all got the same for 1st time duis. It's whatever though I get to talk to the judge and hopefully get it dropped down to a few classes. If that doesn't go I'll ask for the bracelet. If I need to spend a few nights in the workhouse I'm not gonna cry about it but hopefully it doesn't come to that. All they want is money. Not people in county.
Don't be I'll be straight not my first rodeo smh. But whatever I think I'll be out by the morning. I know dudes who violated the same way and they basically ask you what can you do to not violate again and change stuff if they need to. I can't do 20 hours a week. It's impossible unless they want me to quit work. Plus I can finally drive my car again
so "these kids" that you refer to have a state of mind of committing felonies then?implying environment makes things simple.
nah.
one can make it out of a particular environment if one wanted.Right, if obtaining that state of mind was that simple. These kids really don't even think like that, they have no idea of hope.

i was quoting "these kids" as to reference the group of kids you were referring to
not "these" kids
nor these "kids"
nor in any such way that would convey disdain or sarcasm.
oh it's okay. i only ever troll the most terrible topics on this board (e.g. "20 years old tryna cop a new whip on minimum wage need advice"), not the ones meant to generate real discussion.oh I apologize then.i was quoting "these kids" as to reference the group of kids you were referring to

you read stories in the e-paper, and see these comments below, and you get the feeling that a lot of Americans dehumanize these kids after a while. people straight calling these lil' souls animals and savages.
Yup. When they come into the system, they BLOW UP. It's the first time in who knows how long that they receive 3 square meals + snacks in between meals per day and they take full advantage of it.And they're not getting fed at home, kids getting fed one meal at school and that's about it (http://feedingamerica.org/press-room/press-releases/fa-children-at-risk-of-hunger.aspx). These kids need a way to clothe themselves, feed themselves man. So what do they turn to?
