I don't get why the stipulation is that you're fighting for survival, but the wolf isn't. It should be against a hungry wolf in a deathmatch. No retreat from either.

No cage, no walls.

In the wild? Where you can climb a tree, fashion a spear, evade using landscape, etc. Then yes, we can use our superior intellect to win the battle of attrition.
