I'm pretty set on this rifle kit from del-ton for my first assembly.
I wanted to know your opinion on the stock LPK that comes with it, though.
Is it crap or is it "good enough"?
I'll eventually drop a RRA 2stage trigger on it but just to cut initial costs down I was gonna go with the stock LPK.
Most expects claim that those fancy 2stage triggers tend to break down from heavy use, you're better with a quality standard system. As with Del-tons LPK, CMT use to be their supplier but I am not sure who machines their kits right now. My cousins have some more recent kits from them and they work as well as LMT LPK. Crisp trigger and never seen or heard of a failure.

Yo! im researching this same rifle...i hear its mad fun at the range. Can you give me your opinion?
They have them on sale at a local gunshop for $399 right now, and Im thinking i might pick one up.

Buy one. You will love it. I have the moe version of it with the magpul stuff attached. Paid 487 shipped for it. The extra 200 worth of magpul gear was worth it.

went ahead and got one last week. picked up the standard for $389 at my local shop
just gave it its first cleaning tonight (along with my XD45 Tactical)
got 1000 rounds just waiting on me
still havent decided on a grip

Good stuff post back on how you like it. I have ran the federal bulk pack 550, spitfires, cci mini mags and american eagle through mine and all were reliable. Picked up a case of 5,250 rounds from gander moutain last week on the black friday weekend sale for 150.

On the side note I sold my primary HD AR-15. Having 4 direct impingement ARs was over kill so I decided to let the Del-ton go but I'm smelling billet+gas piston as its replacement in the near future.

i believe the foid card is free, i personally havnt got mine yet because i dont have the funds to purchase a firearm anytime soon
