I'll give my picks here.

Bulls over Pacers
Heat over 76ersCeltics over KnicksMagic over the Hawks

Bulls over Magic
Heat over Celtics

Bulls over Heat

Spurs over GrizzLakers over Hornets
Blazers over Mavs
Thunder over Nuggets

Thunder over Spurs
Lakers over Blazers

Lakers over Thunder

Lakers over Bulls in 5.

As of right now, I see only 4 teams making the finals.  Bulls, Heat, Thunder, Lakers.  So I could be wrong, and the Heat could beat the Bulls.  Thunder could beat LA.  I don't see any other teams making a run to the finals.  I rode the Celtics last year, I am concerned about Shaq.  If he's right, then I will be wrong right off the bat with them, but nobody else is makin a run imo.
I also have a feeling that Chicago has a "Cleveland" feel to them.  1 Star + elite D sounds a lot like the Cavs the last 2 years.  I worry about that.  But Tibbs is not Mike Brown, so I will over look it for my own personal prediction right here on page 778.

Budinger with 35-6-4 to close out the season.

I think he's poised to break out next year

And people still giving Thunder love? Jesus Christ, they have done nothing to earn any kind of Finals talk.
NBA fans are majority hype, Thunder get Perkins they are favorites to upset Lakers, Bulls have top seed they are favorites to come out of the East. Until these teams prove something I could care less what people have to say about franchises.

Remember,, they suppose to have magically became one of the teams to beat out West. I'm still praying for that Mem/Okc matchup. Pleaseeeee Grizz, beat the Spurs and OKC beat Denver.

It's Lakers, Bulls, Heat or Mavs combination in the finals. I'll never understand Thunder love.

I want the Bulls to win but I would bet on the Heat.

Calm yourself.  Do I look like that guy?  Do I?  You think I lookin

at pickin the Blazers to win a playoff series?  Really?

I'm about matchups.

Hence, OKC.  They can do any and everything.  And you act like they bums, they were a game outta second in the West after 81 games dude, stop actin like they the 8th seed again.

2 legit post defenders, scoring, running, half court, youth, speed, depth, 3 point shooting, and an elite, with a solid #2 option.  Go ahead and tell me they don't have what it takes to win something.  All they lack is post offense.  If they use all their tools and can make up for that, they can make a run.

You can say that for about 8 teams right now.

WRONG.

8 teams don't have all the tools I mentioned OKC having.  I know it's late, but come on man, wake up.

I want the lakers to win but I would bet on the Heat.

i dont see ANYONE beating the heat. i guess people forgot the 2006 finals. multiply that times 2

if lebron and wade were smart they would go to the hoop on EVERY play

San Antonio, Orlando, Miami, Los Angeles, Boston, apparently the Thunder, Chicago, Dallas all have tools that they can use to win a championship, it's whether they do or not.

I don't believe in Russell Westbrook late in games. The guy has terrible shot selection in the fourth quarter.

I'm just saying, no not all the teams have the same tools as the Thunder, but each team has enough tools to win them pretty much any series, it's just all on their execution.

I think the only injuries you have to worry about are Lawson because he injured his ankle tonight (has a history of ankle injuries), and Affalo because he has already missed so much time lately. Hopefully they all are healthy and ready to go come this weekend because that is going to be a great series if so.

Chicago has a #2?  They have lot of 3 point shooting outside of Korver?  And I picked these guys, mainly on D and HC.
Orlando has a go to finisher?  A #2?  Dwight's a stud, but he ain't finishing games for them.  They have a lot of youth/hustle?
Dallas?

They have no post offense, they do not have TWO legit post defenders, and they damn sure don't have a 2.  I have a decade of evidence to support, don't even try.
Miami has post offense?  They have the same "small hole" OKC does in that respect IMO.

And San An does not have any defense at all that scares anybody.  How on earth will they get a stop on OKC?  I see that as a horrible match up for the Spurs.  Maybe they make up for it with HC though, could be important for them.

Like I said, there are not 8 teams with that list of attributes to claim.  4-5 tops.

Nenê's groin injury is the same which caused him to miss games earlier this season, so, like Afflalo's hamstring, it's something that's lingered. Karl said he wouldn't have been able to go had the Playoffs started today. Lawson is too early to tell; I think Afflalo will be very limited when he gives it a go. I'm hoping Gallinari will be fine, but with an ankle all it takes is a slight tweak; he could have played tonight against the Jazz, though.

Your old eyes don't suit you very well.

I said that they don't have the same tools.

You put so much faith in your team and talk of the post-season, yet these young dudes have proved ZILCH. What, one competitive series? Congrats. Wanna give them a cookie? I don't.

I don't trust Russell Westbrook as the #2 late in games. As I said, dude's shot selection is straight up terrible.

ALL those teams can score, ALL those teams can run, quite a few are good half-court, not all of them have youth, but that's all OKC has is youth, no experience on that squad, any team can get hot from deep, and all those teams have an elite player.

Okay so the Thunder have Russell Westbrook and two very good post defenders.

Do they have two crafty guards who can tear up teams in the paint like San Antonio does? Nope.
Do they have a post-presence like Orlando does? Like you said, nope.
Do they have two superstars like Miami does? Nope.
Do they have the length and post-offense like LA does? Nope.
Do they have the overall team defense that Boston does? Nope.
Do they have the defense and rebounding that Chicago does? Nope.
Do they have Brian Cardinal like the Mavericks do? Nope.

The Thunder are a great team, I'm not doubting them of being that. But let the goddamn kids win a Playoff series before we go talking Finals with them. They didn't completely dominate competition in the regular season like Chicago did, and that's why I'm fine with saying they're legitimate contenders.

Finals contenders in my eyes? Boston, Miami, Chicago, San Antonio, and Los Angeles.

Laugh all you want, but San Antonio is damn hard to stop when TP is attacking the paint like he does so often.

JA is just salty that the Thunder are already better than the Mavs ever were.

I know I'm going Thunder vs. Lakers and Bulls vs. Heat in the CF. Also I think KD Is going to have an absoulutely huge playoffs, similar to what 'Bron did in '07. Kind of similar years from them where they were both expected to take the mantle coming off amazing but didn't only to show out it in the playoffs.

Dallas and Orlando don't belong in the same breath as the other contenders, which include OKC.

Just because they have never won a playoff series doesn't mean they can't make a deep run
laugh.gif

What kind of logic is that?
laugh.gif
They have NBA leading scorer, a PG who is still improving and isn't that far away from Rose's level. Interior rebounders/defenders. Spark off the bench in Harden and a pretty solid defender in Thabo.

Dallas better hope Caron comes back with a vengeance. Depending upon Matrix and JET after Dirk to get you your points is risky business.

Orlando depending on a washed up Turk, one-dimensional Richardson, after Dwight is also risky business. They had better hope Jameer finds 2009 form.

Defensively both of them don't scare anyone either. You can exploit mismatches all over the perimeter with both of those teams, not to mention exploit Dirk on that end.

Dallas has been eliminated in the first round 3 of the past 4 years
SA has done NOTHING the past two years

SA has done NOTHING the past two years

Neither has OKC. And that's my point. Let them win a single playoff series before we talk about contenders for the finals.

Why am I the only one who has an issue with that?

But they played the champions last year and gave them a tough as series as anybody did in the West...Why are you getting butt hurt about people realizing they are the second best in the west? They have two elite young players, two bigs who play great interior D, good coaching and a solid supporting cast.

I've seen the Mavs and the Spurs do nothing over the past 4 years, why would I think they are going to do anything all of a sudden? We know what SA and Dallas are, OKC we are just figuring out and the signs are all there.
