i am really wanting a pair of those 2k4s.

This is probably a stupid question but with big time College bball teams which are sponsored by Jordan like Georgetown and UNC the players get a lot of shoes for free but what about retro J's? Do they get them through the school/bball program for free like say Michigan State and Hyperdunks, Hyperfly, etc??

It depends on the school. For the most part the retro's are from their own collection. Jordan will sometimes send out retro's in the school's colors like he did with the 13's when UNC won the Championship w/Felton, McCants, May, and Marvin Williams. What also happens is if the player is really good he somehow gets a shipment from Nike with some retro's in there a la Beasley at K-State and when he was at Notre Dame Prep.

Basically, if the player is really good Nike will somehow figure out a way to showcase their shoes. Ex. is when Bibby wore the blue Foamposites during UofA's Final Four run when he was a freshman. He had those at least two months before they came out. OJ Mayo was also wearing some different kicks while he was at USC w/some Kobe id's with "Juice Monster" on the tongue. Pretty sure he didn't pay for them.

lol.......... youre right, but hes only a freshman...... and its the first 5 or so games.  He's got alot to learn.  Everybody cant ball out from jump right out of high school.
