Debating between black outsole vs stock clear outsole on the black mamba days

Gonna take it a bit off topic of the XI but what's everyone one wearing today for #MambaDay.
Posted this earlier, but what I wore today

was debating between Prelude 5's or a different kobe shoe. But 5's being my favorite model and the prelude being my favorite colorway. I decided to pull those out.

I played around with the customization options on the Mamba Day IDs and I personally wasn't a fan of the black outsole. Kind of looked out of place with the translucent parts that are already part of the EM model (you cannot customize that piece either).

Dope, I figured I'd wear a hyped shoe to the gym because I know people are suckers for that Galaxy pack haha. I was between Prelude 1 and Dark Knight V but personally the Dark Knights are my favorite Kobe colorway of all time so had to go with them.

My Mamba Day: View media item 1992556View media item 1992568View media item 1992564View media item 1992547
So I had an absolutely terrible start to Mamba Day. I called every store in NYC yesterday to see if any would have the FTB XI physically in stock. Every place was doing lottery/raffle. But House of Hoops in Brooklyn was, according to a woman I spoke with on the phone, NOT doing a raffle. She tells me I should get there around 7:30 AM since the store opens at 8 AM and it's first come first serve. I've never camped for a shoe before, but this is the all-time holy grail for me. So I live in Harlem, and leave at 2 AM to arrive at 3 AM. No one is there. I sleep on the floor until 7:30 AM in the freezing cold. No one else is around. Red flags start to arise. 8 AM rolls around. No one is there. The store is not open. I sit around for another hour. 9 AM rolls by and a store associate comes by. I tell him I'm in line for the FTB XI and he says they did a raffle yesterday and they're all sold out already. Also said that the stores don't open until 10 AM. Perhaps I'm an idiot for believing this woman who I spoke with at House of Hoops. But I did call back three times yesterday to ensure the information was consistent - perhaps it was her who answered the phone each time, providing me with this wrong info. Anyways, sorry for the rant. I'm venting while waiting for my train back to Harlem. To the woman who gave me this information, either erroneously or out of malice -- I hope you know you ruined this day for me.

Yeah most employees are wrong either accidentally or to get you out the store so there friends can cop.

Commercial is awesome. Reminds me of the entrance into the Vault with the dueling audio of cheers and the "Kobe sucks" chants.

Had SC retweet a video I made of my Kobe collection last night, have gotten some hate because a couple of my pairs were severely beat. They were my basketball shoes in high school and college so of course their gonna be beat up. Sometimes I think people forget that some people wear their shoes for basketball and it's not all about keeping the pairs DS or in the best shape possible haha.

 That's cold blooded.

What's sad is that most of those people on that list in Brooklyn won't be wearing them. They'll be heading directly to flight club.
