Well I hope that at some point in the near future, we can take that step back to getting these people taken care of.

Obviously there's 3 sides of this situation, the people who know like KSteezy, the people like me who are ignorant to the knowledge like myself, and the people who don't care or/and oppose it.

We need more people to shed knowledge on the emphasis of the matter so when someone know may knew even less than myself are put in a position where they have to choose a side, they'll choose the right one.
Well I'll just add -- I think it's important to look at two things: the details of the argument and the bigger picture of what it means.

When you look at the difference between Obama or Hillary's immigration proposals vs. Trumps's proposals, both want to enforce the laws. And we can spend time dissecting the details. But the big difference is the bigger picture: look at the subtext of Trump's arguments. He unambiguously is pushing for an anti-immigrant, anti-minority agenda. He has at times called for repealing citizenship for those born in the US to immigrant parents. He has at times called for enforcing immigration laws based on religion. He has chosen to be purposefully ambiguous with his rhetoric against Mexicans, often not distinguishing between legal and illegal immigrants.

This is all purposeful and betrays the real sentiment behind his immigration proposal, which is to indulge the right-wing fantasy of a white America. This should scare every immigrant and every minority, no matter how or when they got to America.

Im convinced this outcome is because she is a women

Alot of people felt like a women couldn't do the job and votes for Trump despite his faults
Yea let's not forget the woman angle in this , some dudes legit did not want to see a woman as president n never want to ...to them the president is a white male position, thought my daughter would see a woman in charge of the country :smh:

Also the KKK already out huh ? Ain't waste no time, once again extra good luck to the bro's in the south n middle

This is the American we chose, pepper thy angus.

2000

...and some dudes thought it couldn't get worse or "what's so wrong about a Trump Presidency" SMH. Try explaining to a school bus of young kids why KKK members are on the bridge waving flags in the morning as the ride to school. Thanks to the the Trump supporters and 3rd party candidates and individuals that wrote in names. Welcome to the new America we KKK flags greetings you in the morning.

People need to give kids more credit. Any elementary school kid can identify a group of idiots or at least grasp the concept.

Are you a parent or do you raise any kids?? Who the hell wants to explain why they have to see KKK members or why kids in their class have that same mentality as their KKK parents.

I myself fought those battles when I was coming up so those after me wouldn't have to.....do you get that champ??

Man at this point I'm braced for this downhill spiral, those of us who knew the right choice, we got each other....our conscious is clean...the rest who elected Trump, will not be let off easy, believe that....every *** policy we are forced into or maybe even a nuclear war, THIS WILL FALL ON YOU ALL, You **** doomed us, WILLINGLY, Don't try to claim you were deceived, because everything bad that will happen, was a direct promise from the person YOU elected....if anything ironically enough we might have chosen the most transparent candidate EVER.

My soon to be 13 year old was really bummed this morning. I had to explain we just had to try to keep on being good people that worked hard & continue to be respectful to other people & help when we can.

I love this quote & it's so appropriate this morning.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron." — H. L. Mencken

Surely the first of many analyses...From the Guardian, suggesting that it was not just disaffected white rural voters, but white people of all income levels:

"But on the poll’s evidence, although the disaffected, economically insecure white blue-collar voters to whom Trump was always going to appeal certainly helped him win in rustbelt states such as Michigan, they cannot explain the new Republican president’s performance nationwide.

What appears to have made the biggest difference on the night was the turnout for Trump of white voters across the board – of both sexes, almost all ages and education levels, and from mid- and higher income levels."

I feel for those of you who have to explain this to children. Especially little girls.

Does it hit home for some that don't get it anymore than these 2 statements above??

First they came for the Socialists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Socialist.

Then they came for the Trade Unionists, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Trade Unionist.

Then they came for the Jews, and I did not speak out—
Because I was not a Jew.

Then they came for me—and there was no one left to speak for me.

This is surreal.

Not only did Trump beat all of the polls, predictions, and expectations, but how Hilary lost is so bizarre.

Trump being president is an INSANE thing to think about. Like.. Donald Trump will be our next president. But him being president with a Republican Congress is legitimately worrisome.

I try to be an optimistic person and a hopeful one. I don't think I have a lot of reason to be hopeful, but it's hopeful that the damage will be limited, that Democrats can regroup and comeback, and that this will be short lived.

I am mostly disappointed not just that Hilary lost, because she wasn't my ideal democratic candidate, but that so many Americans sided with Trump and want him to be our leader. A Trump presidency worries me. A McCain or Romney wouldn't worry me.. I just simply didn't agree with their policies, but Trump is different.

I'm hopeful because I want this country to be united and progress as a society. I'm sure it's more naive, especially after last night's results, but regardless of the outcome, I'm hopeful that we can develop, progress, and move forward somehow.

Laid in bed for a good 10 min. this morning trying to process it. :smh:

Even though I live in CA I'm side eyeing every other person out in these streets mayne.

Got a homeboy that has 2 girls, he tells me the next 4 years are going to be "funny". Big Trump supporter and black BTW. We're definitely in bizzaro world.

Charge that ***** to the game immediately and keep it moving champ. You don't want that poison of his around you or members of your family.

We also have to take into account the people who are sick and tired of the status quo w/ the government.....too bad they didn't think about that w/ the lifers in the house and senate.

PA showed the world that we are indeed a state of ignorance, stupidity, and foolishness. Even re-elected Pat Toomey :smh:

Hopefully after 4 years he grows and learns from his experience. Getting married and going through many things with my wife really changed my perspective on women's health rights. (It didn't change my opinion, but just made them that much stronger).

The whole country turned out with the stupidity. Don't blame just one or two places.
