When so many on the "other side" (conservative, libertarian, fake independents) have been banned and suspend for racist remarks. Funny how that works

Made a thread to point out that people like SFC are allowed to say the **** they say and its encouraged by the community. We've discussed this before.

These last few posts are prime example. Guy says racist **** about whites, people respond with lols, or simmer down will ya.

But let anyone say anything about a minority, women, gays etc even satirical and the hounds are let loose.

If you have a problem with a post, you can report it.

If you don't trust the judgement of the mods, especially Meth, then NT might not be the website for you.

Now if you would like to say really offensive things, and the Mods are stopping you, there are plenty of other outlets on the internet you can take advantage of.

No one on NT has to cater to your personal preferences on how race and racism should be discussed, because you have said offensive things about minority far beyond you incident on Thanksgiving.

And if you don't think this website is moderated adequately, or don't give you an outlet for your views, then it might not be for you.

Also, I always find it interesting that you get so upset over any little comment regarding white people (you clearly indicate this goes beyond SFC) yet you are willing to deny discrimination against others.

When people are critical of America for its many faults, especially now you see this in discussion between Trump supports and people who didn't vote for Trump, isn't a typical response "if you dont like it, you can leave!"?

I was more talking about in general, in America. That we can't have a serious discussion about public policy because many white people view pulbic policy through the lens of white supremacy.

Intentionally or unintentionally.

Look as policing, look at immigration, look at social programs, look at education, or our tax system. Anything that might help minorities is spoken about like disgusting socialism and a handout

As a minority, and a economist, is infuriates me that someone people rather stick their head in the sand than admit their is institutionalized racism than systemic discrimination. Only people on one side of the debate does that.

Because in reality, all minorities can really do it name call, they have no real power over the white community. White community can name call (which they do a ton of too) and has power to inflict tons of damage on minority communities.

And throughout history, many have chosen to use that power. And still do today.

And if you read this thread closely, most criticisms of people in the white community are regarding institutionalized racism, not name calling.

i do agree with your sentiment. now this may be due to my own ignorance but how many people in the GOP speak out about the system of institutionalized racism that plagues this country? i do feel that there is an underlying form of racism that lingers through people on the right not because they themselves are racist but because many do not take the time out to understand the system and how deeply rooted racial discrimination is within our government's institutions. it is even evident during the elections.

notice how when minorities have not had the same chances or opportunities or wants of equality in this country there is criticism or backlash but when the white middle class suffers from economic disparities suddenly the country cares. this was very evident after the election when people in news and politics were talking about the "silent majority" being the white middle and lower class who feel as though they weren't being represented despite the fact that people of color have not had anywhere near as much opportunity as them. 

as far as i am concerned the republican party does not care for minorities because they fail to address the issues that hinder people of color compared to what democrats have done especially nowadays. the republicans failed to call out a demagogue who peddled racist, sexist, and bigoted rhetoric while feasting on the fear of many white americans to win an election and divide America even more

this is how i feel a lot and i said it in my previous post prior to seeing yours but many people who do support Trump are indeed very misguided on these issues but they fall back on right wing talking points that are rotted in discrimination against people. they just dont understand it

I will never ease up on Trump or Trump voters, ever. They can go @#$@ off somewhere else with their undeveloped brains, poor hygeine, racism, and general ignorance on everything in life. I wouldn't go that far. You do realize you're being prejudice against certain types of Americans. I know plenty of kind, soft spoken, charitable, open minded Trump voters some of whom are Doctors and business professionals. They aren't anything you described and shaming them doesn't help. You really think the Democrats by themselves are able to make any noise without the support of some of these Trump supporters in 18 or 20? Educate NOT alienate.

If we get more ppl who didn't vote to vote and account for more young ppl eligible to vote then we won't need them in 18 and 20.

I'll clarify again. I don't care if people say racist things or hateful things. Towards whites, towards blacks, doesn't matter. Especially if it's satirical.

What is annoying is when people who are offended by racist remarks or even violence, turn around and are racist, prejudice or violent themselves.
