Like the 88's were the best quality shoe in the world and we threw money at them like it was nothing cause of exclusivity at the time.

News flash these sell well and guess what black NA 3's will have the same quality.

Agree with most of what you said but if JB release a shoe with BS materials then I'm going to complain. I'll then decide if the shoe is important enough to me to cop. I just think it's foul that they can give us good materials with the WC4 and give us this stiff plastic now. TB3 aren't that important to me so I'm passing even though I like them. With that said, if black cements come out with the same stiff pleather I'll cop them twice. Hopefully they'll be a super GR as well.

Wow, that sucks. Travis isn't a small base, i would have thought that they would get some love. It was the opposite when I first joined. The NEX were trash, and the AFB BX were LIT! I've been out of the game for a while, but AF had fine girls for days! The E clubs were better that some off base clubs. The good old days!

Yes, I'm sure that's in the Authorized Retailer contractual agreement. That doesn't negate the fact that they indeed sold and shipped the shoes early. I'm sure they didn't ask Nike for permission.

Did not realize @memphisboi55 was so close to me.

I can confirm that Travis AFB RARELY gets jordan retros. I think the last time I even remember seeing a pair was Aqua VIIIs back in 07.

I was so tempted by these. Such a beautiful shoe. I passed on my reservation with a 20% off coupon ($190 shipped). So hard to resist! If the leather were super nice I would probably go for it, however, I have too many other shoes to wear to have these sitting around. Would rather have the BC3, BC4, FR4, Military, and Motorsport at this point. Still hard to "kick" the addiction b/c they really do look awesome. Hopefully passing on this reservation doesn't negatively impact my getting a reservation from upcoming releases.

Why wouldnt they considering FNL could loose the account. My guess is it was all planned on Nike's part.

Not to derail thread, but FNL is in no danger of losing an account. Nike does not dictate the business practices of FNL. If there is a breach of contract they will litigate it, but that would be cost prohibitive. If there's a breach by anyone it's probably Nike corp. by undercutting their authorized retailers by selling so many pairs early through their new reservation system.

Just guessing while I wait to fix my plate man...Ha!

You have no idea what youre talking about. You do know that FNL doesn't actually own the shoes they "buy" from Nike. And I know a specific store that lost its JB account for selling early. Nike is pretty strict when it comes to stuff like this. So they had to actually give FNL the approval and even the amount released early on the site.

No clue if Nike gave them the go ahead, but if Nike wa sun happy about it they would simply cut off their supply for future releases.people forget that Nike already did this to Nike in he past...maybe not forget just haven't been into sneakers for more than a year.

FNL and Nike are completely separate business entities. They don't mandate they negotiate. Nike is NOT nixing an account worth millions over a Jordan 3 TB release. Perhaps the release was intentional or an accidental, I don't know BUT if as part of my business model I sell your product (FNL) and you sell the same product days before me, and days before the agreed release date (new Nike reserve) then you are undercutting my business. But Nike/JB can and has said said " you aren't getting the next four limited retro releases, and we are downsizing your allocations". Nike/JB is in the driver's seat, and they can make demands like that. This isn't UA, Adidas, or Reebok we are talking about here. A lot of you would be shocked at the amount of power Nike/JB has over these giant retailers. They don't make a move like that without authorization.

I never said they were cutting a contract, i simply said FNL wouldn't risk it just for a few shoes. My point is that its all Nike's doing. You went off the deep end. And just so you know, Nike doesn't need retailers to sell their shoes as much as retailers need Nikes product. Your undercut argument is mute because specific stores dont get all releases. Banned 1s for example released same day as the Banned 31s and obviously more stores got the 31s. So with your logic Nike undercut all stores that only received the 31s.
