Orange Is The New Black // Netflix Original Series from the creator of Weeds

lol did dude really say that?

yes i said that.

if you wanted a realistic portrayal of a womens prison this is not it. its god awful

i did the biggest mistake in my life to finish season 3. 3 is one of the worst tv series i have ever seen

god awful storylines. cringeworthy acting. unrealistic situations. no payoffs in the end

where to start? a panty business in prison? really?

i was like omg they finally did something right in killing alex vause off but NOPE (just like they didnt kill Vee off and left it as an open door for her to come back) they left it as a cliffhanger and reports of her being back like really? she escaped a drug lords henchmen all alone in a green house? really?

also that asian chick should have died left like that taking all those pills but nope.

season 1 and 2 were ok but deer god season 3 was trash

im looking at the reviews of season 3 and my god its mind boggling how many people are scared to say the truth about it

its like they are scared they will be labled sexist or insensitive if they bash it because of who created it

series is like jenji kohan's own soft porn fantasy. a summer camp of soft lesbian sex, friendship, arts n craft with panties, and cooking

i admit the season 4 trailer looks interesting but hell theres nowhere to go but up after season 3

thinking of checking out that wentworth show

Taking the show way too seriously. Its a comedy with sad dramatic parts.

How you ain't figure this in S1?

Hold up you telling me I'm taking something too serious mister I rate comic book movies like its the pianist?

I know what its supposed to be and the comedic aspects are flat out bad

The drama is all over the place

Don't do that. Don't make the excuse that its a dramedy and because of it its not supposed to be taken seriously

So the series includes rape and hate crime but hey let's not take it serious right?

Let's applaud a prison panty hustle huh?

there was LITERALLY no point to season 3. no villain, not even a protagonist really. piper is barely in the episodes now. it was just a cluster**** of ideas. its almost as if they freestyled every episode, no script. they doubled up on sex scenes and basically said "good enough, publish it."

If that's the case, Season 1 didn't have much of a point either. Granted it focused on Piper but when we knew enough it shifted to other characters. I

Besides V, there never really was a villain in these plot and why do you think we need one?
I didn't like much of the story last season, but to say there was no point or no script would be stretching it.

Actually I don't do that. There's levels to this. When it comes to that type of movie there are certain qualitative aspects you take in to consideration.

Comes down to entertainment value though but you wouldn't find me putting Civil War up there with The Pianist.

At this point it seems you fooled yourself in to thinking this show was one thing and it wasn't  I knew that when you said a female Oz which had me flabbergasted. S1 ep1 should've let you know it wasn't that. You're obviously mad about that which is understandable given you feel like you wasted 13 possibly 39 hrs of your life.

Guess we just disagree on how bad this show is.

I knew from jump this isn't the kind of comedy for everybody. Ain't like I'm  @ every ep but I ain't  through the last season either.

It's not an excuse. It's the truth. Its more like the show shouldn't be taken seriously AND its clearly just a dramedy. It isn't suppose to be taken seriously cuz the show doesn't even take it's self seriously. It emphasizes that it's a dramedy by how whimsical it considers itself.

Just look at how certain scenes are handled. If it's not a personal scene in the prison scene nothing about the show reflects reality in a serious way. Shorty is about to lose her job so she sucks off beer can  I mean cmon. Its not even like they're balancing the comedy and drama like say the way Shameless does.
So the series includes rape and hate crime but hey let's not take it serious right?
So does South Park.

This stance is definitely not gonna suddenly have me taking Piper and co. seriosuly. The way your posts read is as if S1 was some instant classic with a message and the series has degraded to utter trash.

Even S1 wasn't that impressive. It was new and refreshing. Entertaining and interesting enough to be a hit to the masses and bring ppl back for S2 but let's not paint this like it's some respectable series worth taking serious. The series had all of the bait and fan service to attract certain demographics. Had all the sex and lesbian sex scenes that a Showtime show has with its shows.

Lets really look at last season. Why you ain't go off on that ****? That whole V as the villain and how that ended was not good. It became annoying. Laughable in a bad way.

And that's another thing it's not even like the show is so bad it becomes the kind of show you tune into cuz how bad it is is funny.
Let's applaud a prison panty hustle huh?
You're assuming that if you don't take something serious (in this case serious enough to criticize how bad any given season was) then it must be receiving praise.

That's not how it works

Jason Biggs was cast as the fiance in the show. That should have told you immediately that this wasn't a serious drama. That's like casting Paul Rudd in a movie.

Fams really upset thinking this was suppose to be a Netflix documentary or biopic or something.

your defense of the show is not getting my point son

stop that

nobody is asking for batman vs superman seriousness here

like i said season 1 and 2 were ok but this season was hot trash on a stick. garbage storylines that went nowhere, unbelievable outcomes, corny stereotypical jokes, and just fllat out dumb television

you cannot defend that with your extreme this or that bs with your cute little paul rudd comment

if its bad its bad.

but yes i am done with the criticism of season 3

all that needs to be said about season 3?

dirty panty hustle

Avoided any and all trailers and spoilers for this season not purposely i just don't care anymore and season 3 was trash and the show is wildly feminine. Still gonna give this season a shot tomorrow night

I have zero desire to watch this, although I will eventually.

Me thinks it may be time to wrap this series up. Last season was a chore to watch.

Ep 1 was pretty dope to me.

Thing is Wentworth came through and kind of told a better story and handled the premise in a more watchable way.
Made this show a variant in a lot of ways

Ep 1 wasnt bad. Good lord Chapman :smh: "Im gangstA"

Wonder what the kukudio chick did? They made her seem more crazy than Crazy Eyes. That race war chat they had at the table was funny. I cant remember her name but Afro Puff chick lost some weight it looks like

Lolly polly w/e her name is ... no matter what movie shes in she will always but Kit from A League of Their Own ... and the trainer from Free Willy

They making Dominicans look worse than ninjahood does on episode two. We don't act like that man but we do hold on to and protect our neighborhood

I wish they would have kept the premise of giving back stories on why the characters were put in there.

What Alex and co. did in the greenhouse was just beyond unbelievable, like really :smh:

I'll start ep 2 here in a bit when i finish up this testing im doin at work

Madddddddddd Platanos this season. El Leon is not believable tho. That dude comes off like a White dude trying to impersonate a Dominican.
