I remeber around this time last year we got some teaser pics of the xix's, it was just a pic of the shadow, and everyone was saying that they were only prototypes, and that the final product would look WAY better, But the shoe in that shadow pic WAS the final product. Everyone was praying that jb would change them, but it never happened. And now, 1 year later, the exact same thing is happening.

These most likley are the final product, and most people already hate them, but i love em.

These XX's posted...and the release version are the same....with the exception of the air-pods....but the air pods are on the bottom of the shoe and do not change the look AT ALL.....

Whoever posted that pic of the alien stompers when these were first described was RIGHT ON THE MONEY. These are the most ******ed looking kicks I have ever seen...worse than the 15's (which I actually like). That laser design looks WEAK...these look like something a toddler would rock. Hi all, how's everyone been?

I'm loving these. Love the clean look and the detailing on the midsole is very nice. I was really disappointed that they didn't do something like that on the back half of the 19's midsole to break up the mass of foam. Good job.



To the designers:

My only suggestions relate to tightening the strap area up to better integrate it with the rest.

You have a whole matte leather shoe with black embossed nubuck it looks like, but then you have a shiny red strap with chrome detailing. Doesn't it look out of place to you? There is no red or chrome on the whole front of the shoe, only black and white. The entire strap is red too so it looks grafted on rather than part of the shoe from birth. Put some red or chrome on the front or change the strap to leather or nubuck. Since there is no obvious place to put chrome on the front I'd suggest ditching it and sticking with black or white.

Also the chrome stripes looks out of place on the back. Unless they match something on the sole they really don't fit with the rest of the shoe. The main aesthetic is clean shapes with no lines across them and then you have these random lines across the heel. Ditch them and leave it plain or do soemthing with repeating circles that links with the midsole detailing at the side of the heel.

Finally, the bottom of the red in very angular. It comes to a point which doesn't seem to match the shoe's aesthetic language at all. Perhaps round it off.




But nice job so far.

they're right... the strap at the top kinda is "out there"... only connecting to the shoe at the back, its kinda "floating"... these will be rocked unstrapped if copped, just like the 19s...

bottom line:
THE PODS WILL MAKE OR BREAK THIS SHOE!

when we see the final product, if the pods look right, the shoe will look right, and therefore will be copped. but as of right now, they are :x
