That is fair. However, you can't ignore Life (w/ Martin) and he was funny in Tower Heist. I was surprised.

I'll blame it on my age I guess, but I find Charlie Murphy hilarious.  He was just as funny as Dave on Chappelle Show.

I definitely agree in recent years Charlie is funnier. It's crazy because those that were old enough to remember Eddie would never believe that back then. If you haven't seen Delrious or Raw by Eddie, I strongly suggest you check it out. Some of it's dated but not a lot. That's what makes him classic, like many others.  His prime stuff is still funny. 

honestly Richard pryor stuff is still more funnier than eddies

raw and delirious seem a lil dated when re-watching

I still say "ha YOU durin" ala Rasputia from time to time. I laughed throughout that movie because we've all known that weak *** dude at one point in life. "Oh Norbit, I'm with child."

Moive was dropping game on the slick, it was just wrapped up in goofiness.

EDIT:

Mos Def is still alive though. Those dudes are dead and can't really compete. When they were alive Mos was acting.

As Dave explained, he's really good at story telling. That's what really opened the door. He really is a funny storyteller though. Thing is, they are true. That's what makes it even funnier. That Darryl Stengly story man....
