QB THREAD - 2x quarterbacky award winner: Lamar Jackson

Is Matt Hasselback better Andrew Luck? Of course not

But hes proving this poor Andrew Luck having to play with bums and therefore he has to be a turnover machine narrative is a bunch of BS.

"Oh hes playing the Texans and Jaguars!"....Like Andrew Luck hasn't feasted on this same opponents his whole career....Its not like one dude is playing SMU and other is playing FSU...Its the freaking NFL.

The backup playing with the same personnel, averaging the same amount passes, not turning the ball over and is winning games.

Enough with the excuses.

"We base evals on 2.5 games"

No need for the first 48 games tho.

Enough with the excuses. No more narratives.

Matt Hasselbeck > Andrew Luck.

They've played the same people. One of them turns the ball over. The other doesn't. The Colts only won 1 game with Luck. They've won 2 with Hasselbeck. This isn't SMU we're talking about.

Matt Hasselbeck > Andrew Luck and it ISN'T CLOSE.

Andrew Luck doesn't play with bums because Matt Hasselbeck beat the Texans and Jaguars.

Wait? Did I read that Luck is 8-0 against the Jags and Texans over the last two years?

**** ABORT ABORT THERE'S NOTHING TO SEE HERE.

HASSELBECK FOR MVP. #ColtsArentScrubs #TeamIsGreat #NoMoreExcuses

One turnover a game. :pimp:

At least 2 picks in last 5 games tho :pimp:

I just don't understand why guys can't make a point without you all making it seem like they're tryna trash Luck. Hasslebeck HAS looked better, it's that simple. Nobody is saying he's better, or should start.

But it is weird how the line has looked better, Gore and Johnson finally start getting involved and other guys start making plays when he's on the sideline. Is that an indictment on Luck? Hell no, but it's worth noting whether you want to admit it or not.

And since you guys love stats so much:

1. Andrew Luck has the worst quarterback rating in the NFL, almost five points below Ryan Mallett. If you double Luck’s 65.0 rating, he’d still be 5.4 rating points behind Aaron Rodgers.

2. Luck has almost as many interceptions in three weeks (7) as he did in the entire 2013 season (9).

3. He leads the league in the category.

4. If you combined the interception totals of Tom Brady, Eli Manning, Andy Dalton, Nick Foles, Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger, Luck would still have more.

5. This year, Luck is 7th in attempts and 15th in completions.

6. The only three quarterbacks with a lower completion percentage than Luck’s 56.0 are Blake Bortles (53.8), Mallett (53.6) and Jameis Winston (52.2).

7. Including the playoffs, Luck has had five straight games with multiple interceptions. He had only had nine such games in his career prior to the streak and only once in back-to-back regular season games.

8. In his last five playoff games, Luck has nine touchdowns and 11 interceptions.

9. Luck had the worst statistical game of his career in last year’s AFC championship, but I’m just going to attribute that to The Deflator, amirite? In that game, the third-year QB had the fewest completions, yards, completion percentage and QB rating of his career, not including one meaningless Week 17 game in which Luck only played a few series.

10. In the first 11 quarters of the season, Luck threw three touchdown passes, averaged 55 passing yards per quarter and completed 55% of his passes. Then on Sunday, with his team down 27-14 to the Titans in the fourth quarter, he went 11/13 (85%) for 144 yards and two touchdowns to save Indy from an 0-3 start.

It can change that quickly.
